I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. Ever since those leaks people have been going crazy talking about Half Life 3, L4D3, Team Fortress 3, and so on. Valve's last attempt at counting past 2 was in 2007 with Half Life 2: Episode 2.

And this is coming from someone with over 6,000 hours on L4D2. I even went into the competitive leagues for about a year, so I would absolutely love to see a new L4D, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Maybe I shouldn't just buy the games I want when they are released so I have something to buy on a sale. At least this time around most of the things on my WL are actually at a low price, just not low enough.

Perhaps the good old days of epic steam sales are over?

Or maybe I'm just much tighter with my money.

I wasn't particularly impressed, either. What really gets me is that old games are still listed for sale at significant prices. $15 as the regular price for a 10 or 15 year old game, really? Should be more like $5 regular price at this point.

I also notice that. It feels like it takes longer for games to come down in price, base price I mean.

I mean, Street Fighter 5 is now over a year old, and its base price is $40. Its sale price is $20, which I just don't feel is a good deal, especially not when you consider you are getting half the characters.

Kathy Rain is on a ridiculously good discount. £2.52 is crazy low for such a good game.

Yell at the devs but my guess is they stopped supporting it and couldn't be bothered to list it for lower.

Example #1: the old Call of Duty games. Regular price $19.99. Sale Price: $9.99

I don't have it. If I give in to temptation on anything, it'll be this.

Still have games from the last sale I haven't played yet. Picked up a few pinball tables that are only worth buying during the Steam sales. No interest in the limited time badges/sticker packs.

People say that every steam sale. It's like woot.com where people always say 'the sale suck now, they used to be good'. I don't think they've changed.

Abzu - sort of aesthetic and relaxing, but I suspect has a narrow audience.
