Yeah, I do believe I read somewhere that sales are up since removing flash deals. It's way less stressful to people who don't have time to babysit Steam. See something you like now? Get it without worry.

I'm just pointing out why the sales don't seem as good. Publishers are less willing to provide big discounts when said discounts have to run the entire two weeks instead of 8/24/48 hours.

Is that statement based on fact or speculation?

2 hours until the daily refresh, and it's super sluggish, in the client at least. All I wanted to do was check what shipping was for the Steam Link. Price matched amazon will suit me much better.

Honestly, it's pathetic. Maybe it's just regional, or maybe nobody that works at Valve has decided to work on infrastructure for a long time.

EDIT: The storefront from my browser is running fine, it's the client that's borked up.

For the VR people -- I'm not sure if it is an error or not but Steam has a bundle of The Solus Project (VR) and The Ball (non VR) for $1.99. The Solus Project by itself is 9.99 in the sale. Great deal on a decent VR exploration game.

The client has been working perfectly fine for me. The only issue Steam has is when the new store content is loaded, it takes about 30 minutes or so to work everything out. Considering there are millions of people on the Steam client at the same time, I say it's forgivable. While the store gets itself sorted out, I just play a game and check back after an hour or so. Besides, it's not like we have flash deals anymore, so you're not going to miss out on anything if you just wait a bit.

Dark Souls 3 - 23.99
All the Final Fantasy Series are also @ 50% off... (except the MMO)
NieR Automata 30% off @ $41.99
Tom Clancy Ghost Recon @ 33% off $40.19

NieR is great, however its controller pad recommended.... also has some bugs in launching, but if you can get past that, its a really good hack / slash.

Dark Souls 3... rage quit warning... lol...

Im actually thinking about ghost recon.... however i heard its not worth that price even.... it needs to drop another 20 dollars.

I wouldn't say it's forgivable at all.

And as of right now, my client is not lagging. At the time of my post, the client was sluggish and non-responsive while the web site from a browser was perfectly fine.

I'm also WELL aware of what happens to the store around refresh time, but as I said, it was acting up 2 hours before the refresh (something it's never done to me before), ONLY on my client. And when the sale started (actually started )this time, it took a good 4 hours, not 30 minutes, before the site stabilized. It happens every time, without fail. It's well past forgivable.

This isn't my first rodeo, there's no need to treat me like it is.

I love this game. It amazes me that the team behind Serious Sam could go in such a different direction and nail it.

The deals last until July 5th. There are no daily deals. The only thing changing is the features on the front page. You'll be fine, impatient one.

Picked up Shadow of Mordor.
Also got the Elegant Engineering bundle for about 13-14 bucks.
Mini Metro
Poly Bridge
Simple Planes
Train Valley
Turmoil

I know some these games are on mobile OS, but for some reason, I just don't game on phones or tablets anymore. I'm glad I found some casual time wasters for the PC.
Thinking about Sniper Elite 4. I got the the 3rd one on the XBOX for free during a Gold deal, it was a blast. But I also knew it was free. I have a few days to decide I guess.

I agree completely.

It makes me a big fan of the studio, they did great in the two genres - Serious Sam was innovative, a shooter I liked not liking shooters usually.

If you'd read the posts above you'd have the answer on Talos. Styx is well worth buying as well, great game. Haven't played deus.

The Talos Principle used to have a Demo. I played it. It also had a bigger discount in the past (it was half the current price). Steam Sales are going backwards.

According to ITAD, this matches the low for Steam. It's been lower on other sites, but never by half.

You're misremembering. As isthereanydeal confirms, this is the lowest it's been on Steam.

And it's well worth it. The demo as I understand was during the pre-release.
