The soundtrack alone is worth it but it's still a decent game.
I've enjoyed it so far. I agree that the soundtrack is great!

Yea DCS requires you to have the proper flight sticks and profiles for them but it has some decent training modules that can teach you everything for a simple take off, attack targets, and land back, etc.I'd like to give Arma III a try as well. DCS is hardly a "video game". There is a steep learning curve.
I have a game already activated on my Steam account (Kingdom Rush). I wanted to buy it for a couple friends as a gift. Is this not possible through Steam?
Yep, love 'em. I'm really looking forward to the next one, since I absolutely hated that 30 second oxygen tank business and hated that I couldn't explore the city.I assume you already know about the Metro series?
This is a continuation of the ancient saying: "You couldn't do that in my day. Rocks was heavier back then."People say that every steam sale. It's like woot.com where people always say 'the sale suck now, they used to be good'. I don't think they've changed.
o low on that game, but I think they want to build hype for the next game so it sells better (especially since it's received so much hate already).
Have you not looked into the Steam store page and all the different editions they are offering? They've probably changed things a bit, but when they first announced the game, WB said in order to get the full story, you'd have to buy the Gold Edition which costs $100. They said the Silver and Standard editions both have their own conclusions to the story, but they aren't the entire story. So they basically hid part of the game behind a day-one paywall. I noticed they took the information off Steam regarding the different editions or if it's still there I can't find it at the moment. Why do you say that? Where have you heard anything negative about it?
All-in-all, I wasn't impressed and I was pretty irritated when I read the statements from WB about the paywalls and micro-transactions. I know they got a lot of hate right off the bat, so we should be hopeful that things aren't as bad as they seemed.
I'd say the same thing about Arma as well, especially compared to any other fps video game.
Looking for the same answer. If it's way too complex than I dunno but it's only $14 right now. I'm sure if I can put up with dcs a-10c simulator I can handle Arma 3.How approachable is ARMA 3 I'm interested and I generally like more hardcore shooters but I found ARMA 2 overly complex
In terms of approachable I would say it's the same as Arma 2, but I do not have much experience with the 2nd game. How approachable is ARMA 3 I'm interested and I generally like more hardcore shooters but I found ARMA 2 overly complex
I don't feel like setting up and calibrating track IR for Arma 3. For dcs I usually used other people's profiles. In terms of approachable I would say it's the same as Arma 2, but I do not have much experience with the 2nd game.
If you're going all in with track ir and are prepared to face a steep learning curve, I'd say give Arma 3 a try. Personally it was too complex for me, I play shooters more for fun than for sim accuracy.
Got Cossacks 3 very good game I would recommend.
Honestly, if they had no mention of the micro-transactions or paywalls, I would pre-order the game (if I had my old job) just because I loved the first game.Do you ever wonder if they do that on purpose? Announce completely insane microtransaction or other terrible ideas and then 'scale them back' so people are not as angry with what they do end up including? Because we all know that people will preorder it no matter what because it is the new AAA game with a number behind the name.
The negative reviews seem to be mostly about bugs (played 2 hours, crash to desktop).
Hard to go wrong with Serious Sam.
I haven't had an issue once. The only time the store lags is when it resets for the next day's deals/activities.Steam is like molasses all day - scroll the store page, nothing, 5 seconds later it scrolls.
My client was running like garbage for a bit earlier today as well. I just used the site from a browser; it's no different except for game launching. Not sure when, but it sorted itself out eventually. There was a Steam restart in there at some point. Do you happen to own a Steam Link?Restarted Steam - still molasses.
Obviously this is a thing that happens. Just feel lucky it's not happening to you. Not sure how many other people will have to post about it before you catch on.I haven't had an issue once. The only time the store lags is when it resets for the next day's deals/activities.
