Steam: Summer Sale, think a mini holiday sale with daily sales as well, Day 11 Live

Anyone have any feedback on this old "freedom force" game?

It's a hell of a lot of fun. Have you ever played any of the X-men Legends or Marvel Alliance games? It's pretty similar to those, where you switch between four different superheroes and do missions. It's kinda hard to get into to begin with, because you start off with the single most useless character in the entire game, and is a drag until you start getting other guys, namely El Diablo. You have eight or ten main characters, and can recruit more if you want. It's definitely worth the three bucks or whatever it is right now.

It also has a great sense of humor and doesn't take itself seriously. I liked the game however never did make it all the way through.

DO NOT buy mount and blade that's on sale. that's the old one and you can get the new one, mount and blade warband for just a little more.

What's wrong with getting both?

Today's games I don't need to buy:

Not a big fan of horror shooters, so can probably not get Mero 2033 or Devil May Cry 4.

Not a big fan of military shooters, but Bad Company 2 is a bit tempting.

Then there's Sam & Max - I think I have Season 1 and 2 not even loaded yet - and Just Cause 2.

Already have both Freedom Force, World of Goo, Portal and Mount and Blade. (None played yet).

I've tried that and I can't get it to work using my Steam id number.

I made sure my profile was set to public, I don't know what else the problem might be.

I put in my CommunityID/ProfileID and it didn't work.

Looking at the instructions on obtaining the alternate Steam_ID it says to log into a game server and use the console. Unfortunately I don't have any multiplayer games installed.

I couldn't even figure out where my Community ID was, so I created a custom URL within the Edit Profile function and, then used that on the calculator. And then the calculator showed my ID, prominently...

I got that working too, but not sure I'm glad I did, given the info.

you want to waste your money fine. warband is pretty much the original game with improved graphics and multiplayer.

I got the 2-pack for $2 a little while back but I couldn't get into it. It's very obviously using the Warcraft 3 engine, which makes it feel just a bit too much like a War3 mod than a game in its own right. I guess to some extent I couldn't get into it because of my backlog of other games I'd rather play, but I will say I'm glad I only paid $2.

Been playing Plants vs Zombies on my phone a bit recently (helps pass the time in the gym ). Then I was thinking... I could just buy that for my computer off Steam, and it's probably on sale right now! Well, it was on sale, but I still think the game should be more around $5 normally .

Thank you, I was finally able to get a value. Mine was $1,810.70, but I see an obvious error with HL2 Lost Coast listed with a value of $99.99 when it was free.

I probably spent less than 1/4 that amount for those games, though. I've never purchased a game on Steam for my account that wasn't on sale.

Well all the games that were 75% off yesterday are still 75% off as of now. I don't know if they are going to change it or if they are just selling everything at the biggest discount. I'm going to look and see if anything else is at their "spacial day sale" price.

I got Portal, Mass Effect and Bioshock during the sale. Borderlands at $10 is pretty tempting.

First time playing portal, just finished it today. What an incredible game, simply brilliant.

From what I've seen, they don't actually remove the sales from the previous day's games until a little bit after the new sales go up. I've purchased two games post-10AM PST for their older sale price.

A little disappointed that The Witcher isn't up there now... I guess I should've got it for that fluke of a price. But the large image at the top says it's on sale until August for some reason.

Zombie Island and General Knoxx are well worth it and fun.

Moxxi is terrible and should only be bought if you want a bank to store some items.
