I grabbed Sid Meiers Civilization IV: The Complete Edition for $9.99 from Steam this weekend.

I tried to, until Steam point out I already had it, which happens a lot.

Looking forward to giving some of them a run here in the fall. All in all a decent sale, I was disappointed in a few of the sales, or lack there of, but I'm happy with what I got.

Really liking Bioshock 2 more than 1, not that I didn't care for either. Just getting more into this one since you play as a Big Daddy; absolutely awesome. GFWL is a pissoff though. I didn't want to update it first game boot, and played for 72 minutes. Turns out it doesn't save if you don't log in (or I missed something and longstory short, I'm caught up now).

Only if you already have played through it and love it. For me it is only playable on co-op and not for all that long.

do a little research because Moxxi may not be worth it to you. I certainly skipped Moxxi because its basically just a challenge map with waves of enemies and isnt really in keeping with the rest of game. the other two appear to be very good according to reviews though.

Well, I came out a winner. I didn't buy anything. Nothing I really wanted to be honest. The games that I liked I already have so nothing for me really. Wait and see what they have for the holiday sales at the end of the year.

Picked up Borderlands and the DLC. Installed it on my laptop to check it out while i wait on my video card to get back and im having issues using the revoke tool on borderlands to get my activation back to 5. The tool just gets stuck at 30% and does nothing other then fail and asking me to retry. Anyone have similar problem or know how to fix it?

How long is a single play through? I think I'm about 10 hours in already, and it doesn't feel like I'm close to finding the Vault or doing all there is to do.

Too early to tell whether I'll feel up to playing through it again (playing a Hunter now, was thinking about trying Lilith or one of the other classes after I've beaten it with Mordecai), but even if a single play through is only like 20-25 hours, it was worth $10 to me. Haven't even delved into online play, unfortunately my current internet connection kind of sucks for online gaming.

It was more about me losing interest in the game, some people dislike Fallout 3, even though I played the hell out of that one...

If it's any idea...

I've played Borderlands for 77 hours so far. I have a Siren at 45 and a Soldier at 36. The Siren has completed Playthrough 1, DLC1 and DLC3 and only started Playthrough 2 (isn't even out of the first major area yet). The Soldier has completed Playthrough 1 only. So given that, I'd say maybe 30 hours, but I also messed around a lot more on my first playthrough and my second was much, much faster.

Borderlands is just one of those games that people love or hate.

Me? I love it. It definitely has its flaws, but I've put 38 hours into one character (!). That's a huge amount of time for a game that's not an MMO (my wow toon has 18 days playtime, ugh).

That said, i can easily see why a lot of people dislike the game. It gets repetitive and it relies too much on MMO style fetch quests. There's many other things wrong, but that's probably what bothers most people.

Im digging borderlands, def better with a friend...I think I didnt have high expectations because of decent amount of people not liking it. But for $16 (borderlands+2 DLCs) it was worth it, currently lvl 14 siren.

It depends. AFAIK, the summer sale is a new thing, but steam typically has a holiday sale like this around christmas time, and in the past they had a similar sale around black friday.

So, we're not going to see a huge sale like this for a while, I'd imagine, but there will still be sales on the weekends and week.

Tried Dr. Ned's Zombie Island and thought it was a remarkably well-done DLC. Impressive!

I agree it would be a lot more fun when playing with some friends on Teamspeak. I tried a random multiplayer map and everyone was running around so I had no idea what the missions were.

Come to think of it - Does anyone here have access to a TS server and want to play together?

I was hopping they would put EP1 and EP2 on sale for cheap. I bought HL2 when it was released. I also picked up Portal for $1.99. I don't really care for TF2, so I don't need the whole Orange box. Maybe when EP3 comes out they will have just an EP package.

Could just access a one of those free ts servers they always have open... I played with my bro via lan which was nice though I do agree with people running around like crazy and you do not know where the missions are. If you ever wanna group up friend me on steam my email is heat901@aol.com.
