I was hopping they would put EP1 and EP2 on sale for cheap. I bought HL2 when it was released. I also picked up Portal for $1.99. I don't really care for TF2, so I don't need the whole Orange box. Maybe when EP3 comes out they will have just an EP package.

They were on sale July 2nd. I paid $5.42 for both EP1 and EP2.

Could just access a one of those free ts servers they always have open... I played with my bro via lan which was nice though I do agree with people running around like crazy and you do not know where the missions are. If you ever wanna group up friend me on steam my email is heat901@aol.com.

Thanks dude, I'm making a note.

I was almost late to a wedding because of Borderlands, hehehe.

It depends. AFAIK, the summer sale is a new thing, but steam typically has a holiday sale like this around christmas time, and in the past they had a similar sale around black friday.

So, we're not going to see a huge sale like this for a while, I'd imagine, but there will still be sales on the weekends and week.

I hadn't bought anything on steam since HL2. In fact I don't think I've even logged in to steam since then. I really don't consider it worth buying stuff digitally unless its significantly cheaper than on disk. Takes so long to download, then you have to back up to disk if you don't want to ever have to download it again.

But some of the stuff in this sale was well worth it (though some was _still_ more expensive even in this sale that it is on ebay or amazon marketplace, for the uk anyway).

Gonna have to keep a look out for their sales in future, but still doesn't seem worth buying anything on steam at normal price.

I picked up borderlands and ss; ss already finsihed ss (knew it was short but it was cheap). So far borderlands looks really good (only level 3). I wished they had spent a day or two and improved the UI (it is rather obvious it is a console port) but so far it is playable and beyond that issue it seems fun. Not sure if it will get old later on (movement is a bit jerkey and if you have to walk most places walking is kind of slow; even if you run). I'm playing a siren in case class makes a difference; but it is kind of weird because I thought it would be a spell caster but so far don't have any spells (maybe just as well since the UI kind of sucks).

That must have been the only day I didn't check. Every day I saw it they were 33% off or ~$5 each. You would have thought they would have put them up as daily deals on the main page like HL2 and Portal. Oh, well I did get The Witcher for ~$6 and some other cheap games to play and they will go on sale again.

Eventually you get to use the teleport system and vehicles which reduces walking considerably. The DLCs do not have teleport points except for their initial entry point, which in my opinion is a bit of a step back. Fortunately, they're not terribly large.

By ANY chance does anyone have a copy of the Bioshock 4 pack that they can sell to me?

I didn't get in on one >_<

I picked up the borderlands DLC, played it for 1 hr, and remembered why I stopped playing it. I tried hard to like it, but it was just boring for me.
