I personally love these games-- the perfect blend of RTS and Civilization-turn-based-gameplay for me, since I can't stand pure turn based stuff.

I don't need the full series, but if Medieval II: TW pops up I'm buying it. It'd be my first TW game but the time period I find the most interesting.

That's too bad ROME: tw was the first one i played over and over. Hell i still play it on rainy days.

According to some reviews from Amazon, only Empire and Napoleon can be activated (and required) thru Steam.

Can you link games that you DL from Amazon to your Steam account???

I bought DA:2 on Amazon the other day (was only 48 for download compared to 60 on steam) and i can play it through steam fine but it wont activate on steam so you have to click "add non-steam game"

That is odd. I'll just start off with the basic game, the European campaigns interest me by far the most, from the cover of "Kingdoms" it looks like Aztecs or something?

MTWII does not include kingdoms expansion.... LAME. RTW doesn't include Alexander.... Even more lame. ; ) But hey.. Still awesome prices.

You can (still) get the MTWII gold which includes the kingdoms expansion for $5 as a download from Amazon. RTW and Alexander are $2.50 each at amazon. Looks like they're matching steam's sale.

i've played rome a bit a while ago and enjoyed it a bit. i barely played empire but it seemed very stale to me. how does napoleon compare?

Edit: purchased the download for M2TW from amazon but the auto installer insisted on installing to the C: drive but I'd like to not fill up my SSD so after a quick google search I found that you can install each program separately and specify the directory. Kind of a clumsy interface but oh well.
