Can I purchase this on my laptop and install it later?

The beauty of steam, as long as you have the game in your account you can install it on any machine any time you want anywhere. Just make sure steam app doesn't remember your password if you're doing it on someone elses pc.

Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company.

Note that in some cases, your credit card company may put a 'hold' on funds in your account, but you will not be charged. After reviewing the information below, if you believe your card has been declined in error please try your purchase again.

They put a fraud hold on your card. Need to call the number on the back of it.

Yea......has happened to me before from buying the first time on certain sites on the web or first time in Vegas. Just call them and let them know and it will be fine.

It will not run very well. TF2 requires CPU power, and lots of it, even on low res. If you're looking for 30fps consistently, it's not going to happen IME. 20-25 average, probably.

When there's not a lot going on he should be fine. The killer part is where there's a lot going on in tight spaces which does happen a lot. Even after I overclocked my processor, I still get occasional dips when there's a lot going on in tight areas. He should be able to play it with everything on low. Source games are known to run well on older hardware.

Was looking for a specific time.

I think it's midnight Pacific Time (vs. Eastern as I initially thought), since the steam store time right now is about 1:59.

Yeah it pretty much runs like ass... as expected. But I can force DX8.1 mode which helps a lot. I'd rather have shitty lighting and poor particle effects but have better resolution and textures. I think my fan might be clogging up too leading to heat problems.

Yeah, I don't have either of the HL2 episodes, Portal or TF2. I bought two copies based on the thought that I might want to play TF2 at some point.

I'm mad I missed the bioshock deal though.

I went ahead and got this. Anybody else have any problems running their games? Portal crashes at launch, and HL2 has 1minute plus loading times and random crashes between levels. I'm running Vista Ultimate x64, which is what I think is the problem.

Dell e530
q6600
4gb corsair ram
raid 0
9600gt

Should be plenty of system.

edit: Got Portal to start with the -console option, haven't worked on hl2 yet

Working just fine for me. I've had the Orange Box for quite sometime under Vista 64. I did have some issues with the exes crashing on exit but those don't even happen anymore.

Try running Steam as admin and see if that fixes it. That usually fixes a lot of Steam problems.

Is DEP enabled for all programs? Add Steam / HL to exceptions and see if that fixes it.
