I drove to BB to look at Razer mice to replace the wonderful Deathadder 3.5g I dropped and messed up They had this SS Sensei and it was only $10 more than online so I picked it up. I've never owned a SS product, but always see people raving about them. This is a damn good mouse. On the overkill side of things the DPI goes up to 11k. It has 2 settings in the drivers for low/high with a quick toggle button on the mouse. I'll say that 11k's worthless to me, the cursor moves like lighting and is unusable for me. Maybe I could grow accustomed to it, but it's just too sensitive. On the cool but ultimately useless side it has 3 different led backlight zones you can set Independently. The box says some junk about "16.8 million colors!" And while you can technically they're not liking because you can chose any RGB color. I tried white and it looked like a light purple, not white at all hummmm Also, at least my eyes can't differentiate much if any between similar shades of the same color. But it's still a cool feature. You can disable it if you wish, it doesn't pulsate like my Razer did.
The bottom has a small LCD you can upload a 128x28 pixel image to for your clan logo, you can also use it to select profiles, I think any ways. The mouse supports profiles, which you can set up different buttons or assign macros, pretty cool. But there's no macro switch button on the mouse, wtf? But like my Razer keyboard you can set it to switch to a profile when a certain apps launched, which is a nice feature. Another nice feature is it;s shaped so both left and right handed people can use it the same. It's size is nice and I don't find my hand getting cramped. Buttons have a nice click to them and the scroll wheel requires just the right amount of force to spin it. I also find the weight to be really good. It doesn't have removable weights like the Logitech N9 or some of the others. But it's a good middle weight with a very nice glide to it. I think I might even like it's feel better than my Deathadder which I was a big fan of.
I've only had the mouse for 5 days but I like it a lot, it's expensive but if it lasts I'm happy with spending $90 on a mouse.
