Will this work well for bluetooth via VOIP (skype, ventrilo, etc)?

Most BT headsets made for cells suck for VOIP or just plain don't work at all.

I tried calling Kyocera customer service on this, and they told me I couldn't get both 15% off AND free shipping for the same order. Boo hoo.

I bought a Southwing SA505 headset here on Saturday: Better Than OEM @ Infopia for $35.93 shipped.

I spotted the SA505s at cingular.com for $80 [before $20 MIR] while ordering a leather case for my 3125.

I wish I had noticed this post sooner, as I would have given the Kyoceras a shot; they look somewhat similar to the Southwings, but without the rigid back (so perhaps they could be carried in a pocket). Optimally, I think, both ear pieces would be independently wireless, or at least have retractable cables like the wired Sony headphones I've been using.

Looks hot...but would they fit comfortably for people with glasses?

I wear this style of earphones with glasses and I haven't noticed a problem. The earphones tend to sit farther out on the top of my ears, whereas my glasses tend sit tightly deep behind my ears. They don't really come into conflict.

Mileage may vary for people with ears and glasses that are funny shapes and sizes. (read: small ears + big glasses = no room for this style of earphones to clip on comfortably)

For those wondering if they should take the free shipping or the 15% off, the least expensive shipping rate is Priority Mail at $3.99 for the first item, $1 for each additional item. So, 15% off should always be cheaper unless you're just buying one or two really inexpensive items.

Got mine today. At first, my phone (Alltel PPC6700) would drop the pairing, but after a few minutes of fiddleing, it was working great. Watched a couple of tv episodes and one movie, and everything sounded great. Listening with some music now, and lacking in bass, and highs are a bit tinny. Only made one test call, and my wife said she had a hard time hearing me. Im gonna play around with that tomorrow. Was going to test them on my pc (skype), but my bluetooth dongle is only bt 1.0, so no headset support.
