Stereo for car that connects iPod

I'd like to buy an aftermarket car stereo that will allow me to hook up my iPod. But I want to see mp3 information scroll on the stereo unit.

I found this, but is it any good?

Does anyone have any receommendations?

Get a receiver with a 3mm input on the front, then use a 3mm male/male wire.

I have this in my car. I already had the iPod adapter from another car I had prior so I bought this HU and just plugged in my iPod adapter. It will charge the iPod while it is hooked up and I can scroll through the menus on screen with the remote control or using the rotary knob on the HU.

I also bought the Sirius satellite radio for it. I can control everything through the HU and it has built-in Bluetooth so when I make or receive calls it mutes the music and puts the call through the stereo speakers in the car. There is a small mic in the A pillar that picks up my voice so it is entirely hands free. Nice thing too is that you can use voice commands to make phone calls...although, I haven't quite figured out how to set that up yet.

Pioneer makes excellent car stereos. It almost makes me want to drive farther to work...almost. :laugh:

If this is the one you're talking about, I have one too and I LOVE IT! One of the best purchases I've made in a long time. The only thing I listen to is Sirius and my iPod. I don't even listen to FM radio or use the CD player. GREAT HU!

I like that Pioneer DEH-P9800BT, I'm such a sucker for spending a 'little more money'.

I only wanted to spend $200 - $300, but the pretty HU I mentioned is 'only $550'. So now I start thinking about the double din HU's from Alpine that feature DVD playback, GPS, and give an iPod interface look. *sigh*

How good is the mic on that thing. Looks awesome.
