I'd be curious what the voter turnout was for the runoff. I know the republican primary was low, and Moore has his core followers that will follow him through hell. Luther had too much Bentley stench on him. I voted for Strange in the runoff, but plan on voting for Jones in the general. Best case scenario, Jones wins; worse case we get Moore out of the state. He's replacing Sessions, so I don't expect too much of a difference in voting.

The open question is now if Jones can capitalize on Moore's weaknesses sufficiently.

As to voting I'm not so sure. Sessions was much more a team player with the leadership than Moore promises to be. Thus far looking like he aligns with the problem children of the caucus (Cruz, Paul, Lee, etc).

Multiple stories this morning about Trump's antics in relation to this election. He deleted all of his pro Strange tweets, and is apparently fuming at McConnell and others who encouraged him to back Strange. He feels his brand is tarnished, and it's everyone's fault but his own. God he's PATHETIC.

Maybe he should blame the guy who planted the knife... his old pal Bannon...

Trump's populism? Turns out he's just another big money Republican and the world's greatest con man.

More wants more of his christian god in government.
Maybe they can work something out with the pharmaceutical companies. Perhaps the Viagra Jesus line of prescription strength medications for the man who seeks a firmer resolve in his life.

I'm just waiting for Trump to get in front of a mic somewhere and start blathering on about "I always liked Roy...Mitch and some other people though they wanted Strange, they wanted Strange, and Luther's a nice guy, he's a very fine guy, a good gentleman, but I thought there was something about Roy and I knew that I'd like him. Lotta good people were saying nice things about him, and he says nice things about me. He's always said good things. He's gonna win the seat now...he's gonna win."

Narrated by a Stephen Colbert mocking voice or we could just use this.

We just went through eight years of mandatory progressivism orchestrated by 0bama. One measly Senator isn't going to have any of you proggies being forced to color outside the lines of your communist belief system. Yet.

The swamp is being drained drip by drip and not by way of the methodology utilized through the iron fisted approach that has become so typical of the radical left. Unable to win through the ballot box, progressives dug back through their little red books and rolled out coercion, manipulation and manufactured discord. It's being rejected on a wholesale level.

As the right forces their elected officials to move closer and closer to the principles the nation was founded upon, the left feels they must move farther left becoming ever more totalitarian in the process. Keep it up, it's bound to start working eventually. You'll need to find a way to confiscate those guns though to achieve that final victory.

Heh! Heh Heh.

And people said I was out of order when I called Trump voters idiots! "So about half of the population are idiots then?" Well yeah! Sure bloody looks like it now doesnt it?

In much the same manner as Catholics and Protestants waging guerilla warfare on each other in the streets.

Well no. Being a Catholic or a Protestant is an arbitrary choice, neither is more valid.
Voting for Trump means that you're an idiot. There isn't really any other reason for doing so.

How is choosing to support a particular religion any different than choosing a political party?

I'd argue that those are different but that's not the argument I'm making. Voting for Trump makes you an idiot not picking a political party. It's the specific act of supporting Trump. For instance choosing a community organiser isn't stupid, picking Jim Jones as a community organiser when you know what hes like as a community organiser is stupid.

Selecting a particular leader for any activity or organization is a similar process irrespective of its mission.
