I said what I needed to, and it was a hell of a lot more constructive than your ridiculous threats. "sticking his finger up angry animal's backside" is a metaphor, to intelligent people anyway.. Carry on...

Lol. This guy is only famous for sticking his finger up angry animal's backsides- hell, they even made a southpark episode about it. I'm sure he was doing the same with the stingray.
apparently they are.Originally posted by: juiio

MORAL OF THE STORY IS DONT MESS WITH THINGS THAT CAN KILL YOU......

Stingrays. Aren't. Deadly. Animals. It was a fluke.

Anyone remember that commercial where he gets bit by a deadly snake and he cant get the antivenom or whatever? Kinda ironic considering.
Anyways, although Im not one to take another mans death as humourous, I cannot make myself feel sorry for someone who continuously put himself in harms way and dies in the process. If someone goes freefalling hundreds of times and then his chute doesnt open, hes a dumbfuck. If you go running with the bulls in pamplona and get trampled, youre a moron, good riddance.
Steve did a lot of good things, but when you have a family there are more important things in life than seeing how close you can get to a pissed off Rhino or if you can make a Lion eat meat out of your hands. So he paid the price and now his children will grow up without a father. Feel sorry for his children, at the least you should be looking at Steve as a fool that took one too many risks, no matter how benign it seemed.
betterment of humanity? how about the betterment of his children? that would be more important to me than some tv show. i know i'd be at a real loss without seeing him wrangle crocs or pull lizards from a tree. real life lessons there.Originally posted by: LethalWolfe
Personally, my hat's off to anyone that is brave enough to risk their life for the betterment of humanity. Whether it's journalists covering dangerous stories, test pilots hunting out the flaws of new technology, or Steve Irwin educating millions of people about wild animals.
I consider educating millions of viewers to qualify as an example of bettering humanity, yes. And if he died in a car wreck or a plane crash would that somehow make him any less dead to his family?Originally posted by: rise
