Not to derail the thread, but just a FYI:
All media outlets have obituaries ready to go for all aging celebs or anybody not doing well. They were ready years ago when he was first diagnosed. All they have to do is post it.
qua?
So will I, then cancel my preorder in honor of his douchness. RIP.i will preorder an iPhone 4S in honor of him
. Where would the industry be without him?
the PC industry would be in basically the same place
however we would all be using blackberries and crappy creative mp3 players

last I looked, Steve isn't an actor in those TV spots nor does he produce them at home with iMovie. Customers buy and use Apple products, they aren't sitting around the campfire talking about how great the latest ad was. You're kidding right? Of course not everyone had to watch his speeches. Not everyone listened to Christ either, he still influenced others through others. Steve was able to sell things, sell them better than anyone. He could convince people to follow his "vision" so ferociously that they've been on crusades since the late 90s trying to convert people. What the fuck do you think all those I'm a Mac and I'm a PC commercials were all about? Please...
I didn't say Apple was crusading, I said that Apple marks were crusading.last I looked, Steve isn't an actor in those TV spots nor does he produce them at home with iMovie. Customers buy and use Apple products, they aren't sitting around the campfire talking about how great the latest ad was.
Your trying to compare Apple 1998 to Apple today illustrates a lack of awareness that the company has gone through 2 or 3 major transitions in the meantime. When he returned, they were strictly a seller of expensive niche computers. Pretty sure they've done a little more than "crusading" since then.
The fact you that you equate salesman to businessperson requires no rebuttal.
RIP Steve, you are missed. Although I was not a fan of his products, but I was a fan of his genius.
He probably couldn't take the disappointment of the 4s launch... Too soon?
What's life if we can't laugh about it?
Did something no one else could.
He took the technology out of technology.
imo the only reason the 4s launch is a "disappointment" is because Steve didn't sell it. Steve pitching Siri would have been a work of art.
I wonder how long he's been dead. I'm sure they didn't want to overshadow the iPhone announcement, and his death was announced literally minutes after the market closed.
