Love or hate the guy, his company and products set benchmarks in their respective classes that many others tried to emulate and strive to beat. His presence provided a competitive field in the phone, laptop and portable music markets that all of us owning those devices have benefited from even if you didn't buy their product.

Hopefully Apple can continue their success and keep things competive with their counterparts. We all win when other companies are trying to one-up each other in performance and function.

RIP, Steve Sad day here in the Silicon Valley. Started with the shootings at the quarry this morning(nothing like waking up to helicopters and lots of sirens). On the way home from work I turned on the radio to get an update of the shootings and hearing Steve died hit me hard.

I've never been a diehard Apple fan but when I started using a macbook pro last year at work I was hooked. Still use my PC for gaming and I have an android phone but damn I love that macbook.

Thanks for changing the world, Steve. We'll miss you greatly
