NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Former Titans quarterback Steve McNair has been killed. Police said McNair suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville.

A friend just told me that he heard on the radio that the woman who was found with him was married (but not to him). We'll see how that pans out.

As soon as I heard the news I thought jealous boyfriend/husband did it, particularly since McNair was shot multiple times and the woman only once.

However it happened it's a damn shame; suicide...jealousy...whatever. Some people kill others for the stupidest of reasons.

That was my initial thought. He had several gunshot wounds. His 20 year old... whatever.. had a single shot and the pistol was nearby. Time will tell though.

Wow... The details coming out now are bizarre...

Two days earlier his 'friend' was pulled over for a DUI in a car that they co-owned - He was in the car with her at the time and was allowed to take a cab home.

He died in a condo that he rented with a friend... but it wasn't his house. He lives(d) with his wife and kids in a house just outside Nashville

His 'friend' was apparently already at the condo when he arrived at 1:30am.

It appears to be a murder suicide as McNair was shot several times and his 'friend' was shot once in the head with the gun next to her body.


I guess we'll see where this goes.

Two days ago, Nashville police arrested Kazemi (woman involved) on a DUI charge while driving a 2007 Escalade registered to her and McNair.

Co-worker Shantez Jobe, 33, she said was friends with Kazemi, 20.

"We talked about who had more fashion sense, and who was the cutest, and who could get more boys

They said that McNair and his wife were estranged (according to rumors). Apparently they hadn't been seen in public together in a long time. So basically that would imply they were going to get a divorce.

After seeing his tribute on NFL LIVE on ESPN, he was apparently a great leader on the football field according to Jeff Fisher and Eddie George (coach and teammates for 10 years). Analysts also said he was one of the toughest QB's the game has ever seen, one year playing with 16 injuries! We all make mistakes, and it's a shame he got involved with such a nutcase, he sounded like a genuinely good guy.

She had purchased the gun two days prior and her wound was a contact wound... meaning the gun was pressed against her head when it was fired.

The only loose end is the co-leasee on the apartment who did not call 911 but instead called a friend over who then called 911.
