Guys, lets not get too excited here, all it means is that they think they can lend you 4000$ at extremely high interest rates and evenutally get it back... Your limit is the maximum amount of credit you could be expected to repay without going bankrupt... It's not like they're giving you any presents here... except for the blockbuster card

Thanks! Does anyone know how many credit cards are a good number to have? Is one enough, or should we have more than one? how many are too many?
I currently have AMEX blue (for internet purchases) and Visa (for places that don't accept AMEX). And now i applied for this thing . . .

I read before that 2 - 4 is the best. If you just have one it looks bad, and if you have more than 4 it also looks bad.
This is concerning credit reports...

Came in the mail yesterday, called up and activated. They really are a pain, trying to get you to do that credit protection BS.

I noticed that there is a $40 credit promotion when you use your GM card at CompUsa within the first 90 days after opening it. Would this promotion be valid if you were approved under the Blockbuster GC deal....I mean, can you get both promos?

I don't think you can get both, as they probably track your promotion when you sign up.

I just applied through the link for the Blockbuster giftcard and got a new $5000 credit card. I need this card like I need a hole in my head. I will be closing the account after I get the gift card.
