Silex ...if yer poor...install some softwareand block these forums....they will do you no good...yes everything u get will be 50% off or free......but youwill buy more stuff than u ever thought u needed....like 40 hard drives....20 lcd monitors and new video cards every month

I bought these almost exactly one year ago for $320(go CC discount!)...I've gotta say, they rock like no other. Many times i can't even turn the sub on, because it bothers everybody. Buy these, pop in a movie that supports DTS, crank it up to 75, and enjoy!

If you DO get these, be aware of the fact that the volume goes to 100, don't think your set is broken when you get it, take it to 11(zing~!) and don't hear anything. You can't really hear much until it gets around 30ish, even then it's a whisper. I've never taken it to 100 for more than just "ooo" factor...it's WAAAAAAAAY too loud at that volume.

Beware of a refurb as the HTS650 has a low frequency issue..so refurb maybe a bad choice

Looks like the deal is back on for the price of $329.95 ea (free ground shipping too). I just ordered mine. I've read all the posts on other forums in regards to the low frequency problems, but I'm hoping this refurb will be trouble free. At least it sounds like Onkyo is aware of the problem, so let's hope they test for this issue before they ship 'em out. Good luck to others who ordered. I would assume that they fixed the receiver if there was an issue...it appears there customer service has been very good once they owned up to the issue...but still I am a bit worried about it...I want this or the one with the DVD changer...

ordered tuesday.....recieved it today...wich is rather fast because they didnt get my credit card info until wednesday...apparently i had put a wrong # on it or sumthin. right now i jst have the 2 fronts and sub hooked up. listening to music from my hdtv{cable music channels}...it sounds great.

havent tried surround yet.
