Heh, I have the FPS2000 still too. There's nothing wrong with them. Still solid computer speakers. What sets them still apart from others is that they got digital output.Originally posted by: swz
hi i am looking to upgrade *don't laugh* Cambridge Soundworks FPS 2000 for my computer...I want to get a new audio set up for movies as well as just listening to music on my computer... I was tempted to get this but realized that most of the people are using this for their home theater setup and was wondering if anybody has tried to hook this up to a computer.
I'm a student so i don't expect to have a HT anytime soon...I was also looking at the Videologic Digitheatre DTS 5.1 set as well as Logitech's z680 and Klipsch's 5.1 system. My friend hinted that since the Onkyo is a HT system and not geared towards the use of a computer i may not be getting as much out of it...
just want everybody's input. thanks !!

...once the hts650 is purchased and shipped, everyone should have 33 onkyo points. then you can purchase a dvsp300 dvd player for $60.75 which is a pretty hot deal in itself
Got any idea of how long they will be on sale?Originally posted by: Reveller
Without wanting to get into a debate of features versus money, I am more interested in picking up the HT-S760 at CircuitCity.com for $499 brand new also with free shipping. The component video connections mattered the most to me.
Additional features (besides the not having to worry about the refurb bit):
Dolby® Digital EX and DTS® ES
6.1 Channel (extra rear speaker)
3 Digital inputs (2 optical, 1 coaxial)
3 S-Video inputs
2 Component Video inputs (with switching - for dvd and satellite)
Onkyo website - look under Product Line - Complete Systems

The HT-S755DVC (same system, but includes DVD player?) gets the highest CNET rating of any of the HTIBs.
