Just get kinda tired of listening to folks rag this board which has been one of the most excellent bargains I've ever found. I've had it for 5 weeks and have had Zero problems. In fact, if it cost as much as an Asus, then it'd be a better value than the last three Asus boards I've owned. That's how stable and fast it is...
The folks who are having problems never mention their power supply. If you drag it out of them, they say "It's approved...". This power supply issue isn't unique to ECS either. Pick you favorite manufacturer and browse AMDMB.com. Even if you have an approved AMD psu, do you believe it will push 1 Gig of DDR, a Geforce, CD-RW, 3-4 cooling fans, and the list goes on and on... Just because its AMD Recommended doesn't imply it has infinite capacity!
I've heard some idiots saying ECS has more problems because of the number of the 15,000 posts at ocworkbench.com, the same idiots who swear by nothing but Asus haven't noticed the 90,000 Asus posts, or the 24,000 Abit posts, or the 44,000 Iwill posts, etc... And if you're recommending the Shuttle based on these numbers, well the ocworkbench Shuttle forum is only one week old and already has 77 messages, mostly from whiners... about their 1.4TB, 512MB PC2100 Crucial, Geforce3, and multitude of hds, cds, dvds..... Oh yeah! Their 200watt Compaq psu... It can't be a problem though, they were running their Duron 600@10,0000 on it!
The vast majority of the posts are answered in the forum Faq, but reading a Faq is above some people's capability.
Sorry... Rant off
