Getting ready to build a new gaming rig. It's going to include a asus rampage ii gene motherboard, an I7 920 processor, and a hd 5770 gpu. All of this will be housed in an antec mini p180. I have no intention of overclocking at this point.
My question is this. Is there any reason I should spend the extra money on an aftermarket heatsink? I don't plan on overclocking, and unless it's absolutely deafening, the noise shouldn't bother me too much. What I am concerned about is the overall stability of the computer. I had originally planned on using a v351 case, but am passing on it due to heat issues with an I7 CPU. I know the mini p180 has superior cooling, but I just want to make sure it will be enough.
