WOODBURN, Ore. -- A Woodburn woman who was arrested behind the wheel of a stolen car Sunday told police she knew the price of the car was too good to be true.
Brittany Barbasina, 18, said she bought the car for $10 two hours prior to her arrest.
Barbasina was spotted driving the car early Sunday morning and she tried to pull in behind a Chevron Gas Station on Newberg Highway to hide, police said.
She was quickly found and taken into custody.
When asked if she knew the vehicle was stolen, she replied: "Who hands over the keys to a vehicle for $10?" according to police.
She said she figured the vehicle was stolen when she bought it on Front Street in Woodburn, police said.
The car had been stolen overnight in Hubbard. It was returned to its owner, while Barbasina was taken to the Marion County Jail.
