Yeah, that happened to my Enzo not long after I traded my DB7 for it. I had to schelp it with the Bently for a couple of weeks while it was repaired. Pain in the ass.

I wasn't joking around. Needs to be a crack to be covered under Florida required replacement.

I was. Seriously though, I'm not sure what the law is in Pennsylvania, but I don't think it passes inspection if the crack is more than a certain length or obstructing the drivers view at all.

I loved when I lived in a place that had free windshield replacements. Dumbasses around here can't keep the highway free of debris and can't remember how many windshields I've replaced, including one with a crack now just waiting till inspection time arrives.

How much does it typically cost to get a knick patched? Pretty sure I got one the other day when this big ol' dump truck kicked a stone up.

Luckily for me, Alabama does not have car inspections. Unluckily for me, Alabama does not have car inspections. Some of the cars around here literally scare me as I'm on the road with them... no bumpers... no hoods... no problem!

We have inspections around here and there are plenty of heaps on the road. The inspection requirement really fixes nothing. Everyone driving shit boxes just takes their crap mobiles to a shady mechanic who will put a sticker on anything. And then old women pay to get their exhaust replaced for no reason by jiffy lube every year to pass inspections.

In California, glass coverage is optional, and I don't pay for it. My deductible is $500, so it doesn't make much sense to use insurance to replace the window when I can get it from SafeLite for $200.

I do need to get mine replaced though...got a nice spider crack that's about 2.5 feet in one direction and about 1 foot in the other.

Same thing happened to me. I bypassed insurance and went to a local repair shop. Paid $150 for a full replacement windshield and labor. Have to be aware though, it wasn't sealed completely at first so I had a very tiny amount of rainwater leaking through. But after a while, I guess it became sealed by itself and the leaks stopped. All in all, it was worth it.

I was in Los Angeles and there was this run down repair shop in a shed near this pick-a-part place if that helps. Probably not licensed/certified to do any work and only accepted cash. Was very convenient and cheap though!

damn, the crack that was smaller than a $ bill, is now more than a foot long.

looks like full replacement now.

safelite wants $300 + may be some extra for it. my deductible is $250. so, i am at least out that much.

is it worth to go with safelite, or find cheaper local alternatives?

Lol, your wife and I were trying to find out about some giraffe tongue. She thought it = penis length.

I fucking beat that giraffe.

You climbed up on a ladder along side to prove it.
