roll the windows up, get out the car, lock your doors and then talk to the cop.
Most cops I come across are usually just as grumpy as the person getting the ticket. Being the polite person can give you a much greater chance of getting a warning as opposed to a court date.seriously. lol. you want to see a cop freak the fuck out, get out of your vehicle without being asked after getting pulled over.
if you want to escape with the minimum of hassle, roll down your window, turn your car off, take your keys out of the ignition, and leave your hands in plain sight.
legally required? of course not. but why needlessly antagonize the police? it's just going to make your life harder.
I got a tint done and I was pulled over the same day. It really sucked. I rolled my window halfway down or so. I was not pulled over for the tint but rather for "speeding." Anyway, he let me go and I didn't tint too crazy or anything. I had a 60% in front and 30% in the rear (but I live in CA where no front tints are allowed).Question - if I just had my tint done and am not supposed to roll down my window for fear of damaging the wet tint, would it be acceptable to open the door during a traffic stop?
I already know the answer to this, but I want to hear from someone else.
Why don't you strap a GoPro to your forehead and give this a shot.
You are doing over 15 mph over the speed limit, he is standing out in the cold after pulling your dumb ass over, and you are actually talking smack because you only wanted to crack your window.
Acting like you've got something to hide is not smart when getting stopped by a cop. People who think they know the law better than cops are always the ones that end up saying don't tase me bro.
you could roll down your window a smidgy crack and poke your id and insurance out if u feel so is necessary.

Smack talk (also smacktalk and talking smack) is a slang term seen in chat channels in chat room, blog, and MMOG conversations. It generally refers to the use of threatening or intentionally inflammatory language. Smack talk can also be used with bullying, wether that be face-to-face interaction, or cyber-bullying.
I cracked the window open because its cold outside. (it's Jan.)
he tell me to roll it down. I comply.
i have nothing to hide. i'm guilty and will pay the fine.
but I got the feeling I could have refused his order???
Only crack the door/window open unless ordered to open fully.
If you get stopped by the police do the following:
1. Shut your engine off
2. Turn on your interior light
3. Roll the window down, whichever side the officer is approaching the vehicle
4. Place both hands on the steering wheel
5. Don't appear hostile - you don't know why you're stopped
You'll be surprised how many warnings you'll get instead of a ticket.

putting up with the weather is part of the job. if he doesn't want to stand in the cold, then:
a) he should have went into a different profession
2) he shouldn't be pulling people over for no reason
You idiot. Learn to read. I don't see him talking smack, dumb ass.
Stopped for speeding (+18 in a 65zone).
