The directions for a K8 XP-90 installation are a little strange. I have put together many machines before but I never had to do this.
It wants me to remove the stock RM and replace it with the one that comes with the XP-90, (the RM is the plastice piece in the MOBO to attach the heatsink to).
They want me to remove the stock RM by putting some nail polish remover on the sides of the RM to remove it from being glued to the MOBO. This process makes me a bit nervous, I don't want to damage the MOBO by removing this forcefully, but I also don't want to melt anything on the motherboard surrounding the RM from nail polish remover.
Has anyone here ever done this before??? Any help will be appreciated, I don't yet have most of my components in my new build shipped to me yet. Once I get everything I don't want to be to anxious to build it and screw something up like this.
