Hi!
Im wondering how I can get my harddrive to boot up an operating system. I just got it, a WD1200PB 120GB, and it seems to work fine, except that I want to replace it with my current harddrive. I tried installing my WindowsXP on it and it went fine until after the first bootup, where it usually no longer needs to boot from cd, it gives me an error saying that "The operating system could not be loaded." I placed my old harddrive back and booted to windows. Then I used partition magic 8 to get behind it. I found this and took a screenshot

The partition apparantly "crosses the 1024 cylinder boundry and may not be bootable". You can also see the little arrows, they are much closer together and to the left than the other disks (Disk 1). I've also tried to active the disk, make it active that is, numerous times without luck. I've even created the partition using cfdisk from a linux installation without any look, it always gives me the same message. Then I've check the BIOS, and that was also set correctly. I am out of options and the only thing that it could be ist that the cylinder boundry has been crossed. I have no idea how to resize the cylinder boundries. Does anyone know or should i RMA it?
Relevant HW info: ASUS A7N8X, 1x WD1200JB 1x WD1200PB, Good quality IDE cables.
Thanks alot for you help! I appreciate any input!
