Strange ICS problem....

I've had a home network for 3 years now, so I'm no newbie, but right now I'm stumped.

I usually run my ICS server systme 24/7. I left for 2 days, so I shutdown the server, but when returning after firing up my system the NIC was dead. So I popped in a new NIC and the network runs,except ICS. I have removed then added it, LAN sharing is properly configured using correct modem and nic. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps the nic drivers need updating to handle ICS, but even that seems to be a longshot.

Does anyone have any ideas?

You said you tried reinstalling ICS... the second thing that I would do would be to remove everything from the Network control panel, reboot, then reinstall all of the components again. Win98 is awfully particular about this for some reason, and usually this procedure wiil fix almost anything network related.

Hmmm, tried that, but still no go. I think I'll try re-installing Win98SE and see if that does it.
