I am extremely lost and frustrated right now as Ive been dealing with this wacky network for weeks.
So here is the situation, my computer (4200+ X2 939, DFI NF4 Ultra-D, 4x512megs memory, 3 network adapters (2 on board, one pci Dlink) 5 harddrives, and a 6600GT) basically this system connects to a netgear WGR 614 v6 router via a hard wire connection. The router is up to date and works great for all the other systems in the house.
So here is the problem on my system when i first install windows on it everything i perfectly fine, but a few hours after install sites start pulling slower and slower, by the second day or so some sites act perfectly normal but others such as (weather underground, weather.com, shoutwire, spiked humor and tons more refuse to load at all) even pings time out to these sites. As far as security goes i have the NAT firewall on the router, Windows firewall, windows defender, trend micro office scan, peer guardian, and spybot none of which detect any problems.
I even tried moving to vista but the same exact problems occur and I am just fed up with it all. So i am here desperately seeking help from the fantastic knowledge base of Anandtech. Any help would be great guys. I need those sites! lol.
