First off, I'm running Windows ME.
And I know this is a non-critical problem, but it annoys me a lot anyway.
Basically, my problem is, every time I boot or reboot my system, Windows will go through its startup routine, loading all the registry and startup stuff like it normally does, but then the "C:\Program Files\Common" directory pops up in windows explorer, as if I'd left the folder open when I shut down (which I didn't.)
Anyone know what could be causing this? I've used my little Registry knowledge to search through the HKEY\Local Machine\blablah\Current Version directory, and looked for any references to the Common directory in the Run sections, but haven't found anything. I've also looked in the Startup folder in the start menu, but there's nothing there that could be causing it.
Is there a file somewhere that stores info about which windows are open, and all that good stuff, every time you shut down the system?
