Stray cat problem

I am sorry, but killing cats because of some effing PAW PRINTS on a car would be sick. This seems to be the only "problem" the OP is having.
Do you also go around and kill everything else because "it's wild and not friendly"? Yeah sorry we're not the only species on this planet. /sarcasm

Edit: I am especially agitated because I occasionally come across some "animal lovers" who seem to justify killing cats, MOSTLY given reasons like they kill birds.

Yeah, big deal. Cats kill birds. Because birds are so "wonderful"....? Birds piss me off, in the summer in the morning they're extremely loud, thousands of them in trees. They shit on everything, they eat seeds etc. Birds annoy me far more than some stray cats on the street. If anything, cats would have the same right to live like the effing birds.

I'm guessing that people think, "hey, there are 24 females and 24 males; 23 of those males are neutered, therefore only 1 female cat can get pregnant. Reality is, all 24 of those female cats are going to have kittens that all have the same father. Thus, a waste of money for the expense of neutering.

Just spent 20 minutes on the phone with Animal Control of Jersey City. In a nutshell, i'm SOL. I can't trap them. Can't shoot them. Can't poison them. They won't come in and trap them. I can't bring a trapped cat to them.

WTF am I paying taxes for then?

NJ is one fucked up state! My cat was caught in a cat trap by an asshole and the humane society picked him up. It cost us like 80 bucks to bail him out because he didn't have a tag. Our cat never liked wearing a collar and it would come off time and time again. After we got him fixed he didn't roam like he did and stayed in the back yard so we never spent the money on chiping him.

That's irresponsibility. Most states are like this.

Cats should be indoors and uncollared or in a safety collar because they can jump and climb.

You should have your pet's vaccinated, fixed and chipped if you want to be irresponsible and leave them outdoors even if for short periods.
