Gen's not that difficult to use. He's actually kinda fun. As for Championship points, how many points do you people presently have? I'm at 5600GP I believe. I switch my mains constantly, so let's say I win with Ryu, but for the next match I'll use Chun Li/Abel/Elf/Guile/Viper. The least interesting character I've played as has to be Dhalsim. He's just so boring since his game is zoning.
lol i do the opposite. I usually play one of my weaker characters usually ryu, dictator or boxer for the first match, and if i win i use sagat till I lose, but my alts are ridiculously weak and it can take sometimes 5 matches before i advance to the 2nd battle.

i dunno the only thing about Gen that really gets me is the following...
1. His crossover is hard as shit to see coming as it does not look like he's goign to jump over you.
2. You can juggle into his super and then continue that into his ultra.
those are the 2 things that i ALWAYS get caught with. Also, Gen really doesn't have any really punishable attacks. that '100 hand slap' that he has you can't even punish if you block it. well i guess his kicks he bounces off the wall you can punish easily, but the smarter Gen's don't use that unless they know it will hit or has a good chance at hitting.
Gen is one of my worst match ups. I think i'm at like a 40% win rate against gen's online. Most of it is due to the fact that I hardly ever face them, and when I do, I literally get clowned on. I'm pretty much forced to play a super turtle game against Gen's since practically every single attack of his is safe. I pretty much take damage until I get ultra, and turtle until he does the dive kick at me and ultra on reaction against it.
Without playing him too much, I would say he's not too difficult to use overall. A character like viper I would say is the most difficult to use, since you literally cannot win with her unless you have amazing precision, and she's pretty damn godly once you get that part down. Fuerte would also be pretty hard too since the loop is probably the hardest thing to learn in this game and it's the heart of his game.
Vega isn't really hard to use, he just sucks really bad and the only way to win is to have really good fundamentals to overcome the obvious brick walls of his move set being garbage.

Little over 2500GP here. I'm trying to use Honda exclusively unless it's a rematch with someone I lost earlier. I need lot of work but I see the potential with Honda after watching couple Youtube videos. I just learned the power of the "hundred hands slap." I was rarely using it because I didn't understand it. I now know you have to push the punch button 5 times to activate it and the strength of the last punch determines which HHS comes out. His fierce HHS pushes him forward quite a bit which is great ticking life off opponents and pressuring them. I need to get the crouching lp, mp, fp, lp, fp sequence down pat so I can start the tick with the simple jab HHS or just jab if it misses. I wish I took piano lessons as it would help quite a bit. I'm just going to have to train my hand and finger muscles while I work and watch TV so I can get that sequence down without thinking. If I still can't get it, I'm going to give up on Honda as that's critical move to playing Honda effectively.
Have you checked out Mike Ross clips on youtube? Easily the best honda in the US right now.
Also instead of hitting fp, have you tried drumming lp and mp to get HHS out? I personally find I can drum it out a lot faster that way.
