After reading that Hardcore Gamer mag PDF you provided, now I'm really looking forward to this game. Not sure I'll get that much indepth with it, but I'm just looking forward to it. I may have to trade in a couple of games, but so be it.

It's a pretty good guide considering Arlieth doesn't really play all that much

yeah, the Hardcore Gamer writeup is good, go download the e-book from gootecks.com. Ryan ("gootecks") seems a cool guy and is really trying hard to expand the SF community. And search for videos from arcade infinity, he does the commentary on most of them.

I've only played a few times in the arcade and boy do I suck...but, I'm going to practice a lot on the PS3 and try to get to a decent level. I gave up on fighting games with the onset of the versus series and 3S was just way too technical to just "pick up". (none of my friends play)

I'm waiting for Norris sticks to restock and hopefully I'll have an arcade stick before the game releases. I want to set up an AT online tourney a month after release, would anybody be interested?

I'll have the 360 version but I'm gonna use the first post in this thread to compile gamer tags for AT players of each system. That should help you try to get a tournament organized.

I got Gootecks queued up to listen to after RebelFM gets finished. It is a good listen for nice general tips and insight into how the pros play.

Yeah, I've been listening to the Gootecks SF Podcasts as well.

Yep, two Net City cabs are connected (and oddly enough the left cab is the player 2 and the right cab is player 1...) and it's 6 credits a play.

$60 unless you can find someone with a deal selling it for less. I think I saw Circuit City or someone taking pre-orders for $50.

anybody figured out how to print the hardcore gamer PDF file so that each magazine page is actually 1 sheet of paper?

i printed out the from page 1 to the end of the SF4 stuff, and the first page is on it's own sheet, but the rest are split and have 2 magazine pages on 1 sheet of paper. it's readable but it's very tiny text.

when I zoom into 100% on the PDF file, the first page (cover w/chun li) seems to be the same size as the other magazine pages (which are really 2 pages in 1 PDF page).

has anyone figured this out, and if so, how did you print it so that each magazine page shows up on 1 actual sheet of paper?

haha I tried with snag it but then it was a little blurry so I gave up. I printed them out the way they are in the pdf and my eyes got used to it after a minute. Sucks they did it that way though but man there's some good info in there.

Anybody have any info on how many headbands each Gamestop store will have for pre-orders?

I pre-ordered mine today and the guy said they usually get about 20 giveaways for other pre-orders, so based on that, he said I'd be okay (I'd be high teens), but he said I could pre-order at different gamestops to be safe.

Just FYI Gamezone or whatever the Hollywood video place is has coins as ther preorder giveaway. Seems better than the headband but I lready ordered from GS.

Haha I'm gonna wear the headband everytime I play online.

Yean I was watching them all. Also a Dalshim player won Japanese nationals. Daigo lost early.

I can't wait to actually play this. I know I'm gonna suck though just like in SFIIHDR. My record is like 135-165

Gonna train and practice alot before I go online.

The game has slowed down too much for my liking I'm used to being able to advance and parry through people that try to play defensively, now it's a lot of fireball battles and a game of position. Going to be a tough transition for me.

damn i swear, i don't think i've been as excited about a game as I am SF4 in a really REALLY long time.

i think it's because the fighting genre has been dead for so long to me and this is going to get me back into it.

Ugh, supposedly there's still a few mad catz sticks available for preorder - I can't decide on whether or not I should just order one or still wait to build my own. A Norris case, plus Chthulu PCB, buttons and stick will still cost me just about as much, but at least I have control over the build (I kinda like the Seimetsu buttons).

Decisions, decisions.
