you dont.

Then why is there an option to interrupt your arcade match if somebody invites to a rank match?

Because that's done by somebody choosing you in a ranked game match list. If they allowed people to invite friends to ranked matches there'd be abuse all over the place.

I'm sick of my Hori ex2. I can't do anything with it. I already suck at this game, don't need my stick to make it worse. I pulled out my SF pad an could immediately do shit I couldn't do before. Now I can do Sagat's j.hk->c.mk->hadouken->super combo pretty much 100%. I still can't so alot of stuff though like j.hk->c.mk->tigerknee. I can't get the timing right or something.

I cancelled the TE I had on preorder since nov. partly because they haven't shipped it and partly because of QA problems. I ordered a HRAP EX new from Ebay so hopefully they send that shit soon.

wuttttt you should have said something, i would have gladly paid you for your TE pre-order

edit: also up to you, but I played like complete ass on stick up until 2 weeks before SF4 release. It really depends if you have the time or desire to take the game seriously. I pretty much did practice reps in HD remix pumping out fireballs, dragon punches, and linking combos. It's pretty important to pay attention to where your hands on the joystick are during the motion. For the longest time I was holding the stick diagonal back instead of down and it took some practice to correct, but I'd never go back to pad now.

Yeah I had been playing remix on my stick for months before this so I dunno. I'm used to a stick.I don't know if my stick sucks that bad or it is just me. Guess I'll find out soon.

Yeah I want to play tonight. I've totally been skipping my school work though. I had to take tomorrow off from work just so I could study japanese and study for my history mid-term. Chances are that I just play SF4 tomorrow though.

Haha, you sound like someone from my Japanese class.

I just ordered SF4 (PS3)...

Hope I don't continue to suck ass at it after practicing.

Anyone know if there's an adapter available that will allow me to use my dreamcast arcade stick for the ps3? Trying to resist purchasing another joystick if possible.

Rufus reminds me of that Simpsons episode guest starring Mulder and Scully from The X-Files.

Homer is on a treadmill in just his underpants, with electrodes attached to him.

MULDER: Wait a minute, Scully. What's the point of this test?
SCULLY: No point. I just thought he could stand to lose a little weight.
MULDER: His jiggling is almost hypnotic.
SCULLY: Yes. It's like a lava lamp.

It's actually the sole reason I completely ruled him out as a character to learn. I'm superficial like that.

Is it just me, or is it impossible to find a SF IV gamepad without paying a 5x markup on eBay? I want to buy a gamepad (not really a fan of the arcade sticks) before I buy the game (because the 360 D-pad is unacceptable and the PS3 D-pad hurts after a while), but nobody has them...anywhere. I've looked on Amazon...sold out except for the scalpers. I've checked at two local GameStops, Best Buy, Target and Walmart...none in stock, with no idea when they will get more!

Did MadCatz really drop the ball on this one or what? This smells like a fake "Wii-shortage" situation to me!

Makes me wish I picked a few up when I saw them. Gamestop had lots of them on Monday the week of release.

So, anybody wanna play? Add me or let me know your PSN TAG! I got my Internet connection fixed up and I'm ready to play. Man there are so cheap people out there. Gotta learn and adapt to be as cheap as them!

Ya, they severely underestimated demand, as did I. I highly doubt it's an engineered shortage, if MadCatz knew people wanted to pay these prices for their product, they would've flooded the stores with them.

Best Buy got their shipment in a week before the game. By the time I got to mine, there was 1 left and they haven't gotten any since.

It is a really good pad imo if you can get one without getting gouged.

My HRAP EX is scheduled to be delivered today. Yay Would have liked the TE stick but I got mad at GS and got my money back. All I need to do with this is switch out the buttons though and it'll be basically the same.

Are you guys getting good connections when you play online?

I've yet to encounter a 5-bar player. I've probably played 2 people that had 4-bars, a handful of 3-bars, and a TON of 0 and 1-bar connections.

i see 3 bars the most on XBL (or don't even see a bar a tall, just the blinking thing) but those games are lag free. i had a few 4 bars here and there but no 5 bars.

i've even had pretty lag free 2 bar matches.

on PSN however I've only played once, and it was a 4 bar match, but that match had some noticeable lag and was worse than 3 bars on XBL.
