while i admit this is pretty sad, it's fun to trash talk sometimes though

If you think it's fun, then you don't deserve to play online. It's immature, childish, and completely unnecessary. I have voice chat turned off at all times as I'm sick of trash talk I hear with some games. Sending messages is a whole new low. I've had a few folks send me voice messages after a SFIV match similar to purbeast0's guy, and I immediately report it to MS.

there is different degrees of trash talking.. nothing is wrong with a little talk as long as its in good taste and goodfun. that message above is not that. part of playing is to trash. there is no need for vulgar and racism.

the above is just way out of line. that person shouldnt be playing video games...

my pic made it to the wall of shame, and i messaged the guy the URL to it and i got another message of the same nature back heh.

maybe is hould report him, how do i report it with a screen shot?

I think you might only be able to do it from the xbox itself. But MS usually has records of the messages sent for this reason.

To file a complaint from the Xbox 360 Guide, follow these steps:

im still playing daily.

i really don't have any issues against bisons usually, unless the person is just flat out better than i am. his lack of a good wakeup move makes it pretty easy to keep pressure on him.

Who are you playing now? Still Balrog? I've been messing with Chun Li, Abel, Viper, Elf, Guile and some others only to learn a bit more about how they play. Kinda fun being not limited to using one person as your main.

yea i've been using him still. i'm still trying to get used to this joystick somewhat but i'm liking it more now. i may try to pick up abel cause i like how he plays. i kind of want to start shoto too but i dunno i am sick of shotos heh. i may try bison as well, i enjoy watching a good bison so sometimes i wish i could play as well as them.

Finally swapped my square gate for the octagonal one. Not sure if I like it as much as I thought I would but I'm probably just not used to it.

what characters do you use?

i tried the square initially, and i was having tons of problems with balrog. i would constantly pull off his dash low or tornado punch when i meant to do the dash straight and dash upper. i really did not like the square gate at all.

it's probably cause i'm used to no gate on the happ sticks i've used my whole life, which is basically a circle gate, which is pretty close to the octogonal gate.

I've been playing little more since I got my tournament stick couple of days ago. It's really nice stick with the controller and the buttons little better than the cheap Hori. Difference isn't night and day but enough to notice and appreciate.

I started playing Honda again after giving up on him. I'm playing about 50/50 Honda and Zangief. I like Honda because not many people play him and he doesn't have many long combos so it's easier on my old man hands. He doesn't seem to have reliable anti-air other than his ex-headbutt but that requires meter. His jab headbutt isn't as reliable as previous games and I've to do it early to have any chance of connecting due to start lag. I'm still losing more than I win to G2 players but that's true whether I use Zangief or Honda. But I don't mind losing as most of the players are clearly better than me.

I used to use Balrog, but switched to Blanka a while back. I wasn't liking the square gate either but kind of got used to it. Now I'm not used to octagonal but I'm sure I'll get used to it and it'll be better.

yea to be honest with you, i probably used the square gate for like 7-8 matches before i was like screw this. i was just doing wrong moves consistently.

Abel versus Blanka is annoying. Actually Blanka is a very easy character to use. I've used Blanka a few times and it seems relatively easy to put pressure on your opponents.

My question to you all is, who do you think is most difficult to use? I think using C.Viper requires a lot of precision so it may have to be her.

I think El Fuego is the most difficult. He's just so different from everybody else that it'd be really hard to learn and use him properly. Viper is pretty unique too though.

I would say Viper. She does little damage and has low health. I find Vega tough to use for the same reason.

I absolutely hate fighting Blanka. His moves are weird, have high priority, and he's about impossible to crossup due to the electricity. He also has high health and does good damage with his moves. Definitely one of the top tier char.

i LOVE fighting blanka, it's so easy as balrog

you can punish pretty much EVERY attack he does. the only blanks I have problems with are the ones who continually try to just cross me up, and honestly, that is pretty much the only way one as blanka can beat a decent balrog.

Yeah... I main as Blanka and have been completely dominated a couple times. But the thing is I've been doing really well w/ him because most don't know how to fight him. I got my 10 ranked in a row with him. I'm not too far away from G2 and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get annihilated once I get there.

Gen's not that difficult to use. He's actually kinda fun. As for Championship points, how many points do you people presently have? I'm at 5600GP I believe. I switch my mains constantly, so let's say I win with Ryu, but for the next match I'll use Chun Li/Abel/Elf/Guile/Viper. The least interesting character I've played as has to be Dhalsim. He's just so boring since his game is zoning.

3100GP here.. If I play long enough(another 250 days MINIMUM and that's if I keep having "good" days where I gain ~100 points a session) I'll eventually make G1, but I doubt I'll ever get past G1E and I'll probably end up with far less than 15000 points since you lose points for 1st round losses.

on the upside, I can breeze through G3 in about 2 days... I had to play on my moms ps3 last weekend and I went from 0 to 1500GP in a 24 hour period. :laugh: No matter how good/bad you are, there's always someone better/worse.
