IMO, I'm going to be really excited if it comes out for PC with good multiplayer online support. I haven't heard much besides reading about it over at IGN. I have a feeling this is the type of game that would get canned for the PC at the last minute, or a really bad port.

I won't feel exited about a fighting game until Killer Instinct 3 is announced, and since Rareware doesn't exist as it did back then and since they're the only ones being able to make such a fighting game I know it won't ever happen ever at all even by God's intervention, so with that in mind I'm just moved away from the fighting genre, I've never really liked Street Fighter, except maybe for the second one and some of its special variants, but after that, not thanks, and it's not just Street Fighter but most other fighting game franchises.

I would love to have this for PC if online is any good. I'm afraid most people will get the console version so it could be hard to find an opponent on PC. Lag could be a big problem so it would be better to play against people nearby. It would be awesome if PC/360/PS3 could all play each other.

I would be excited if it was SF3:3S, SF4 looks like it's going to be a bust, idk why they gave such an important series to a newb developer.

Well I certainly wouldn't mind it. Having started playing a lot of PC games with my 360 controller, im finding it MUCH more enjoyable to play racing, platformers, and adventure games.

It is coming to the PC, and even if it gets a half ass port, people in the community will turn it into something worthwhile. I would expect it to be modded for virtually lag free play not long after release, making the online play better than its 360 and PS3 counterparts, although the consoles will still have a larger player base.

I'll be excited regardless. Most of the folks I want to play will come over to play on my PC on the projector anyways It'll be interesting to see if they try to implement cross platform multiplayer.

aachhhheeeeemm,, Most n00bers to arcade games are not aware of the fact that modern arcade machines are actually Midrange+ computers running XP. Hence all the HIGHLY illegal, stolen HD images of games all over the "web".

SF4 will not be a Half-ass anything. It'll be Sweeeet.

You can already play 3S through GGPO (Capcom will be using GGPO for SF4 for online play as well). SF4 is actually turning out to be pretty good, the way you go about it feels like SF2 (lots of footsies and huge emphasis on spacing), EX moves, throws (2 frame throws), and damage like 3S, and combos like CVS2. The new "revenge" system is pretty neat, you can sorta do similar things like the whole parry nonsense in 3S, but there was obviously a lot of thought put into it.

I think Ono did a very very good job considering the only official street fighter thing hes done was that stupid third strike rap in the opening.

i want it to be a mix of SF2 and SFA3. i want the classic music that was in SF2. SFA3 had some memorable tunes, but the entire SF2 score was great. Capcom never disappointed w/ the music back in the 8 and 16 bit days

I explicity remember reading in a gaming mag (i think EGM) that one of the reporters, while at the studio to report on a different game, the devs dropped the bomb that development on a new Killer Instinct has begun, and they had budget for it.

parry nonsense? you mean the thing that actually gave the game it's immense depth? no parry = no thanks.

Immense depth? Don't think so. The parry system was fun for a little while, and then it got increasingly frustrating.

For one, they made the parry window 8 frames which gives HUGE leeway and being able to tap the stick in advance. It turns 3S into a gigantic guessing game, and with the fact that you can option select parry, there's almost no disadvantage to guessing wrong since you can just hold the stick back and block/mash throw.

It makes jump ins 100 percent safe, no thinking required if you can just jump in and tap forward and parry on the way down. Even if they don't do anything, you get to land and you're completely safe anyway.

The revenge system is done very well, you get one hit of super armor and have a choice of letting your focus attack go through or you can cancel it into a dash. It's balanced, unlike the parry system with almost no consequences for missing your parry.

Yea, the game being complete broken and unbalanced must be the reason behind it's success as a competitive fighter and the fact that no one dominated the scene. It must also be why everyone laughs at Daigo's full parry because it's so ridiculously easy.

MVC2 is broken and unbalanced and it's been at EVERY EVO held, just because a game is competitive does not mean it is balanced. I don't know what game you've been thinking of, but in the US there are a few people who dominate. Pyrolee, JWong, Ricky Ortiz, John Choi, Valle. The big names in 3S have stayed the same for pretty much the last couple years. In Japan the same names have been at the top forever as well.

And I say this again and again. Daigo's parry was not the best part of that video, it was when he jumped up to parry the last hit so he could get a jump in to get that extra damage to kill JWong.

Gonna be a long wait till February. Very excited, already bought a wireless gamepad with a 3+3 button layout. If the online multiplayer works well I'll probably lose a few months of my life on this. I spent a rather frigtening amount of money in high school on MK/SFII. It'll be refreshing to play vs games for free. We can set up AT tourneys

So's your life but you're still around aren't you? Different strokes for different folks.

I didn't know it was coming to the PC officially. Definitely not a game I expected to be ported. Hopefully it's done right, but capcom doesn't do console to PC very well as RE4 shows us.
