Street Fighter II is awesome!

I was at my parent's place over easter, and brought my old SNES home with me. Just beat SFII on the easiest setting, not that much of an accomplishment, but figured I'd start easy.
I was surprised how many of the moves I still remembered, seeing as I hadn't played it in 10 years!. Anyone else ever dig out the old school video games for the heck of it?

I own the original cart and my friends and I would play it all the time..

I prefer 2d fighters to today's 3d fighting games.

Yep, I still playing Chono Trigger on SNES. I like to change the name so they screw up the text in the game.

I think Ryu was my role model at some point in life.
Then I tried a Hurricane Kick in real life. That dream ended quickly.

I flew virgin atlantic last wed and sf ii was part of the console game they had... too bad the cheap airplane pad was broken.. i couldn't do half the moves... but it was fun..

lol! I just beat the game using Ryu. How do you do the hurricane kick again? I remembered the Haduken, and whatever the big upper-cut was called, but couldn't remember the kick.

Isn't the hurricane kick half circle forward + kick? Edit: My bad, that's completely wrong. It's quarter circle back.

I could be wrong... I always play girl characters in fighters. I was wrong.

ha, i got you beat. I played Fighting Street on the Turbo Graphix16 CD. It was the 1st Street Fighter. The version in the arcade had one HUGE punch and Kick Button that the strength of your attack depended on how hard you hit the button.

Yeah, I could never figure out exactly what he was saying. What was up with his arms legs stretching all out though. I hated that!

Dude, what the hell are you talking about? Get an XBox, XBox Live and Capcom vs SNK 2:EO, and relive your past like never before! The BEST 2D fighting around, bar none! I play CvSNK more so than any game I've EVER played...well except for my Street Fighter II days were I'd skip school to school people at the arcades.
