Strikeforce's Heavyweight Grand Prix starts TODAY! ( 2/12/11 )

Bigfoot is a well rounded opponent; he was able to cope with Werdum on the ground and he has striking that overwhelmed Arlovski. This guy is a legit top 10 HW and a serious threat to anyone at HW.

With that said, Fedor is more motivated than ever and now that the undefeated streak is gone thanks to Werdum, he doesn't have as much pressure going into this fight. I think Fedor really wants to get to the semis and match up against Alistair or take the rematch with Werdum.

If both Fedor and Alistair can pull off the win, we're going to see a dream matchup before the finals.

Oh, it's not just a great plan, its fucking fantastic. It's just like playoffs, which is what is so exciting in baseball, football, hockey etc...

Boxing and the UFC both need this. It would make everything so much more exciting. NCAA sports too. Hell think about it. Any sport that has a playoff is preferred over a sport that doesn't.
