Wow, just dropped by my OD and they still have it marked at 49.99.

Alright, I went to one of our OD in fortworth and was rejected. They said they couldnt do it because it was a price over-ride on the reciept, and because it is not in there region. After this rejection, I visited the other OD in my area, and they took it without a hitch. So if you cant get it one place, try another.

thewinky, can I ask exactly what you told them that make them take it without a hitch? Heh, because the first place I went to refused. Like your first place, they said that it wasn't being sold for $49.99, it was simply an override on the price. There's another OD I can go to when I visit the folks back home this weekend, and I wanna make sure I don't screw it up there too.

I think I just got lucky. The lady who rang me up didnt question the reciept like she probly should have. She did have to ask here manager, but he was on another line so he just told here to go ahead without asking anything about it. If I were you I would be very nice, and get someone young who hopefully wont ask many questions. Another thing is offer to get a extended warrenty for an extra $6.50, it always make them happy and easier to deal with.

I just picked one up at the od near me, everthing went without a hitch. It was marked 89.99 here. When I went to ring it up I pulled the receipt out showing that it was 49.99 and told the lady that I wanted to price match another od and she quickly glanced at the receipt and said okay without asking any other questions. Trying to get the think working right now.

Well Im miffed.

I have tried all of the 4 OD's in my area (Calif) and they all had this PCTV in stock, at $89.99. NONE would budge. I asked one manager in detail, he said that since it was still a regular item in this area, it wasnt slated to be a "clearance" item. So no pricematch (with clearance) and no 49.99.

This sucks, cause thay all had 4 or more in stock.

I hit all the ODs in my neighborhood (Southern Calif) and they all refused to match the price on the receipt. All the managers said that the retail price listed on their computers was $89.99 and that because it was an over-ride and not a "sale" item they would not honor a pricematch. One store even tried to grill me about the validity of the receipt.

Hey dealheads

I went to my OD and showed the guy what I wanted for 49.95. They pulled it out of the locked cool stuff room and it rang up as $89.95 and I went Huh!

So they went back to check numbers and came back with the Studio DVD which sells for $99.99 and sold me that for 49.95 (it was marked 49.95 also). I thought it was the same thing. So I bought it for $35 after the $15 coupon.

Later I realized this thing is not gonna let me watch TV so I exchanged it for the Studio PVTV pro and got back $10 changed.

Final cost: $5 plus tax. One of my better deals.

How did they give you another item (for the same price) and give you $10 back?

Did I miss something here?

Can I exchange my 10x burner, for a 12x, for the same price?
And have them give me $10 for doing it?

I purchased the PCTV last month when it was $49.99. There was no $20 rebate at that time. I bought another one over the weekend for $89.99. Using a photocopy of this latest receipt I'll send off for the rebate (with UPC from the first purchase) and then return the still-sealed box.

If they'd only let me pricematch to their earlier, cheaper price I wouldn't have to perform this stupid song and dance routine!

I've purchased this yesterday and install it in my machine.
It has a problem with the sound.

I tried to call their technical support, they have a really lousy support.
They know this problem and does not have a solution for it.

The sound is really bad, only mono and has a lot of noise...if I turn to stereo, it will be no sound at all.

I suggest to think about it twice before you purchase this product.

Mine sounds great, but I cant get the video to stream. I think it is conflicting with my video editing card. I will see what happens.

thewinky, do you have any idea how to fix the sound problem.
I am using Win2K, sound blaster live value and there is no resource conflict on my machine.
I have also updated the driver to 4.02 (the latest one), but still wouldn't help.
