That's all we need - more studies. What's the point of this? Just more useless information. Just adding on to our information overload. 1 billion pieces of information is not enough, we need 2 billion.
As for religion, people want to be told how to live and function. This is true for most of them. They would rather sit and have someone tell them what is good or not. Unfortunately, many seem to forget everything "religious" most of the time. Only when it's convenient for them, do they remember their so-called religious teachings.
The atheists, especially many who are well educated, feel they know more than the next person. So instead of following a religion, they follow their personal ambitions, their professor, their so-called scientific curiosities, etc. Another form of religion but in a different guise. They're still following something even though many probably claim to be beyond it, to be at a higher level.
