Aside from maybe the Vikings or Huns (or the Spanish Inquisition), US military engineers are the last group you ever want to screw with.
On the plus side, military engineers prefer you die quickly. The others, no so much.

In the case of the Inquisition, it was preferrable that one quickly converted to Catholicism (from Judaism) quickly, with the least amount of torture** - aside from some psychopathic torturers. Bizarrely, after suffering at the hands of the Moors (who were Muslim), the now reconsolidated Spanish Monarchy (Catholic) got permission from the Pope to use all means to convert Jews for the sake of their souls. That didn't work out well at all.

** Usually, just the fear of torture. After that, it was - 'we are going to push this wooden cube up your ass until you finally relent and accept Christ as your saviour' (me<-shudders). I am 100% certain Christ did not approve.

Lol paleo or go home. Humans didn't evolve with a sugar diet.

Wal mart lard asses did. 31M Americans are diagnosed diabetic. 20% are undiagnosed.

Die, fat people, die.
Hmm, missed this. So first - no, not dying to improve some statistic. Secondly, firm conviction to to lose 20lbs (go high or go home) between spring and fall started out with a 3 month bout of depression (yay) and ending with 6 straight weeks of migraines (double yay). Probably TMI, still, FML.

stop eating would be the fastest way.
just take a multi-vitamin pill every day.
that worked in a study back in the 50's. fat guy lost like 300lbs on nothing but water and vitamin pills. took a few weeks

That's kind of selfish, right? Why do you hate stats?

Carb addiction is a real thing and may be harder to kick than a lot of drugs.

Stop. No one loses 300lbs in a few weeks. Are you high?

Yeah, 300lbs is much harder but possible if the overweight guy's metabolism went into overdrive coz of the multi-vitamins (would need to know what exactly he took to understand).

Personally, I've seen great success with carb blocking supplements (use them only once a day for your largest meal), do squats as much as you can, eat honey/dark chocolate and oat biscuits for breakfast. With this routine, I feel much easier to move about and don't "feel" fat. I'm known as the crazy health conscious guy at my workplace where most males have overblown tummies.

Some interesting maps

I am not entirely sure what ~ 'expected years of school' qualifies as or how it relates to rest of the world (US/Canada where listed as 16.3)

~Average number of years the population older than 25 participated in formal education vs. the number of years a child of school entrance age can expectto receive if the current age-specific enrollment rates persist throughout the child’s years of schooling.
