Unfortunately I found out too late that flashing the BIOS in a K8V board is a total crap shoot. As seen HERE And now I have a board that will not finish posting.

Though I am still trying to sort things out at this time using conventional means, in a worse case scenario, do you think it's possible to HOT FLASH the K8V BIOS using a A7N8X board?

Well I tried to hot flash it using AFUDOS and got the following message. (Which, BTW is the utility I was using that MESSED it up in the first place...)

ASF signature Not Found.
bios HAS NO FLASH INFORMATION AVAILABLE.

So I'm going to give it a go with Uniflash.

If the board still posts, then the bios flash may have worked fine, but the new program has different memory settings. Check the bios at post, and try setting your memory timings in manual mode. Use conservative settings, such as 2t for the command rate and cas 2.5, regardless of what the memory is rated for running. When in doubt, I always use a floppy bootdisk to flash.

No, it doesn't post.

No Video, just that annoying voice saying "System Failed CPU test" over and over again....

And unlike some of the people that had this happen to them, I DID flash it in dos using the AFUDOS, but the results seemed to be the same. A dead, unrecoverable BIOS.

Apparently the early Bois's (101 /103) are very prone to having this happen when flashing. They erase just FINE, they just don't re write worth a damn.
