For instance, in Office, IE, and just about everything else, the default editing is to put a new letter in where the cursor is located. If I type, "you a moron" and place the cursor after the "u" in you and hit "'re" then it palces an 're right there and moves the rest of the line over and you end up with, "you're a moron" This is the default typing style.
I have a horrable time with spaces when I am typing insanely fast. I will hit the space bar too soon or too late, and a sentance will look like this, " this is ane xpample of one of my many screw ups". See where the space ended up? Well, sooner or later, after fixing this a few times, MS starts to think I want to "erase" the "e" and it will over-write the "e" and put in a space. when it starts doing this, every charactor I type will over-write the next one. the only way to get a space in there is to cut and paste one back in. This gets annoying as hell.
Is there any way to turn this "feature" off or will I just have to type more carefully?
this is on just about every MS operating system I have ever used. NT, 2000, XP, 95, 98, ME. In Office, IE, or just about anything with a text box.
