Okay, I'm not sure if it's a mouse or sound card or headphone problem actually, but using optical mouses on two separate systems with two separate sound cards and the same headset, for some reason I hear these high-pitched noises whenever I move the mouse or click or do anything. I don't think it's the headphones as it was never a problem with them before until a couple months ago.

It's this high-pitched buzz that never stops and it's really starting to piss me off now, any ideas? I've already tried new drivers and the basic troubleshooting stuff.

The only time i ever hear high-pitched or buzzing is when the mic and a speaker are close together. might even be your cellphone signals.

maybe?

sounds like the headset is broken to me, try using the headset in something else? or maybe plug in different mice.

Man, if this headset is already broken I'll be kinda pissed. I only bought it in February and back when I first got it I never had a problem, then I moved my good computer's case from one place to another and it started.

I don't see how the mic could be too close to the speaker as no matter where I have the mic, up in the idle position or down for when I'm using it, the noise is still there. I thought it was related to the mouse because whenever I do something with the mouse like click to minimize/maximize a window or something along those lines, there are different sounds that it makes in my ear.

Might be the headset, do a test with a different headset just to see.

Also, mute your mic in Windows Volume Control.

My mic is muted, and I don't have any other headsets. Chances are if you guys say it's the headset I'm gonna have to agree, as that's the only thing not different on the two setups. I wonder if Amazon will let me send it back and get a new one even though it's been about 5 months.

Edit: Amazon has a 12 months parts/labor warranty on it, how do I go about taking advantage of it?

I have a strange problem like that as well. But, this is with my guitar amp. I look through tabs while playing my guitar, and when I scroll down I hear the noise through my amp, and they aren't connected or related except they are plugged into the same wall outlet. I don't know what it is, but I've learned to just not pay attention to it. I don't know what your intentions are as far as dealing with it, though.

Was the warranty through Amazon or the seller? Or through the manufacturer? You may want to email Amazon customer service and ask about it, and if you get return authorization keep a record of all conversations so that if they try to charge you or refuse service you can point to it.

I dunno, it doesn't say. Here is what it says:

Technical data

* Warranty Parts : 12 Months
* Warranty Labor : 12 Months
* Type of connection to PC : Info unavailable

I guess I'll email customer service.

I emailed customer service yesterday and today I got an email saying they shipped out a new headset free of cost, but it didn't say anything in it, just the normal confirmation email. Do I send them the fvcked up pair back and cover shipping or what?

if they didn't ask for it, don't do it. Even if they did, you don't REALLY have to...

Okay. I wasn't sure. I guess if they don't ask for it I'll give it to my family to use on the family system.

Okay, got the new headset, first thing I did was make sure nothing with sound was running and turned the volume all the way up, and I still hear the noise and the mouse still makes noises.

Any suggestions?

My bro's computer does that but when the hard drive heads are reading/writing. I had a 486 that had a similar issue with the mouse too. Never worked out what it was.
