Hello Guys plz Read My story i have been working on this issue for over a month ago and sorry for my bad language i apologize also for the long thread.

My Issue is Stuttering in Games When Moving The Mouse , with all Games , also Drops Fps with some Games Like BF4 and Metro 2033

My PC
GA-Z77X-D3H all Drivers Updated
7970 3G Vaporx
Core i5 3570K 3.4
8G Ram Corsair Vengeance 1600 DDR3
HDD 500 Western Digital Blue
PSU Seasonic 600 eco
Monitor Samsung Ex2220 Full HD 1920X1080 60HZ
Windows 7 X64 ultimate SP1 also Tried Windows 8.1
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i had no Issue with My Previous PC
all the Above Specs with Only GPU 7850 2G DDR5

i was Playing all the Games some on Meduim and some High without any Issue , without that silly thing Stuttering

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is My Story
first i tried Gpu MSI and Asus R9 280x found stuttering with all games and Drops Fps Because i was an idiot , cause i used to play with Vsync on To Stop Tearing , I didnot Realize That till i turned off Vsync and noticed a decent Frames , i thought it is an Issue With R9 280x then bought 7970 3G vaporx it is a Good Card and i like The Performance but i couldnot get ride off stuttering
even i have a tried GTX 770 also stuttering .

Borrowed another Specs from My Friends
PSU 850 Gold corsair , SSD hard , Asrock z77 , 2 Gaming Mouses
Stuttering with all games , and if i turned vsync on drops fps , and vsync turned off = tearing

tried to limit fps with my monitor refresh rate didnot work , radeon pro , dynamic vsync didnot work
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
here we go more insanity tried 120HZ Monitor ofcourse no tearing but that damn Stuttering was there , it is unbelievable for me i thought that 120HZ monitor will finish that , but i asked my self a question does any pc gamer own high end GPU need to buy an 120HZ monitor ofcourse not .

also i have tried every solution You Can Imagine and no Fix Yet

Temps Cpu 40 C - 65 C // Gpu the Same Temps

i have Overclocked My Cpu to 4.0 that didnot help also
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i didnot change my CPU cause it is Working fine also i dont think i have a bottleneck with both GPU and CPU

i am very desperate and lost For God Sake do i have to Change GPU , CPU , MB

it will cost me alot and i dont have budget now but this is wrong how come ,

i am thinking to back my old Gpu 7850 2G but .......... how come and why the performance now is Good ? or change my MB and get core i7 3770k i know it doesnot worth to upgrade my CPU .
Thanks alot
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

update on 5/21/2014

here we go more insanity changed MB and CPU to
Asus Maximus Gene and i7 3770k
didnot overclock
the same result stuttering with all games
and even i tried with 7850 2G my Old GPU which i didnot see any Issue with it , that damn stuttering still exist even with 7850 2G

totally lost out of options what am suppose to do else ////////-////////////

anyway guys if you are following the results after all the tests it is not a Hardware issue
because i have changed every part CPU / GPU / Memory / PSU / HDD / Mouse / Keyboard / os updated / Drivers Updated / MB Bios Updated
even i have tried to test with all old drivers the same issue
also tried with old Bios the same issue
old drivers Before Mantle for GPU / AMD The same issue

---------------------------------------------------------------

now if you think i am Crazy say whatever you want to say Cause Now I see Stuttering while watching Movies when the Camera Move fast uo / down / right left

Damn it i think it is My Eyes Now :twisted_O

Still no fix

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
this video shows my issue still no fix

There's no way around it... you have to choose to live with the the tearing or the stuttering :'(

I know that feeling since I had this with 2x7970s a few years ago. My problem was crossfire and just bad behaviour of AMDs drivers.

Let's start off with the basics. Please capture the frame times using fraps of some games in play. Let us know the game settings and hopefully the frame times will show us something we can work with. We might have seen the pattern before and it might help us determine if its the gpu or elsewhere.

do you want me to record gameplay for you in battlefield 4 i play with vsync on drops fps from 60 to 40 , but with vsync off it is smooth ,
the damn issue is when i move mouse stuttering starts but the kill cam or if i left the mouse every thing become smooth , i dont know what is that anyway there is no issue with my mouse cause i have tried many devices all the same stuttering when move it at any direction

i know but i cannot it is hard to deal with , i cannot even focus when i aim to shoot any player in BF4 ,playing with screen tearing is annoying and playing with vsync on drops fps

Does it have issues in single player? Have you eliminated network issues? How about mouse issues?

What I want you to do is record a fraps frame time trace where there is a problem, and hopefully some examples where there isn't a problem. Do it with vsync on and off, I just need to see the magnitude of the issue objectively and the pattern its producing. In the big microstutter investigations of last summer I found a lot of other problems not related to AMD's crossfire that people were experiencing that showed up in the frame times and potentially you have an issue beyond the basics.

But like others are saying with vsync on if you don't maintain 60 fps you are going to notice the jumps, 45 fps is about the worst case stuttering you can have. Just lowering the settings a bit to maintain 60 fps most of the time will potentially fix your issue if its just vsync causing the problem. Otherwise frame time traces where you have the issue and I'll look into it and help you as best as I can.

Uhm, have you checked GPU and CPU utilization in MSI afterburner's overlay? There's a chance that your GPU boost clocks aren't kicking in or something for whatever reason. Check that to ensure that your GPU usage is hovering past 90% - it should be for all of those games. If it isn't, you get stutter.

I am thinking you have something else going on. VSYNC would only cause stuttering when you drop below 60fps. And even then its not horrible. Noticeable yes, but not horrible.

I would try dropping settings to lowest and see if it continues. If it does, you have something else going on.

Most of the times I have had what you describe, its actually some other program in the background causing the issue.

Didn't Lava have this issue as well and it turned out to be his motherboard?

I have also seen it caused by beta drivers, partial driver installations, weird settings in the CP, virus scanners running in the background, overheating, underclocking and probably more besides. Could be a lot of things, I am certainly not going to dismiss it as just vsync at this point, I think its very likely the frame time trace will show us something.

Could be an IO issue or a problem with the Spindle drive. If the swapfile is getting used a lot and there is an IO issue every time its takes a second to write to the swap file it could lock the entire system.

I would try disabling the swap file as a test (no matter what people say you do need a swap file) and see if the stuttering goes down or disappears. If it does it is probably the board/bios/some random setting, though using an SSD in it's place could minimize the issue significantly.

He has 8GB of RAM. I don't see that being a problem at all unless he is encoding while gaming or something silly like that.

Heck i've gamed on a 4GB RAM HTPC with a G3220, no stuttering. The swap file isn't his issue. I highly, highly doubt it unless he has an AV program scanning in the background while he is gaming. Being that most people here know how to avoid such situations, i'd simply assume that isn't going on.

My suggestion is to use the MSI afterburner overlay and double check what GPU utilization is during these dips. And GPU clocks. Then go from there in the diagnosis.

Seems like I fixed a problem like that just by changing a mouse setting. I wish I was better at remembering which one, but it was so simple and stupid it floored me at the time. Have to wonder if trying a different means of looking around, like a game controller, might help reveal if this is actually an input device problem.

Also keep in mind that programs like Afterburner can cause stuttering that will coincide with the polling rate of the utility.

That's just what i was going to post.

Speaking of the devil.

OP, have your tried an Nvidia card on your system? Maybe borrow one from a friend? If you have your old card that was working fine have you tried it again and see if it goes away?

mantle+ultra texture quality in bf4 can use more than 3gb of vram. Try bf4 with high texture quality.
