I think the Audio A4 1.8T has decent pick up~...

I'd rather have comfort.. luxury amenities~ etc.. then just speed~

How many of you people who are knocking the interior of the WRX have actually been in one? The seats in the WRX are awesome unless you are really fat. It has a MOMO steering wheel standard... I can't think of any other cars in that price range that have that. It also had metal/drilled pedals which are pretty conformatable to use and cool to look at. If you guys consider the stock stereo part of the interior, the WRX has a 6-disc in-dash cd-changer standard as well. The WRX also isn't made to be a luxerious car! It's made to perform, not have wood-paneling or something inside it!

Yes, it does have decent pickup and all-weather, AWD stability. Not to mention Audi's excellent 3-year no cost maintenance policy. 0-60 in the WRX is only good if you are racing against ricers or want to piss off the guy in the V6 Mustang beside you.

No. I'm not agreeing to be argumentative, but I really don't give a crap about interior either. Yes i'm in the car 99% of the time. 99% of the time my hand is on the steering wheel and I'm lookg out of the windshield. If there is some nice wood trim here or there or a stylish decore on the dash I really could care very little.

My uncle has Ferrari F355. I say it is piece of trash because Car and Driver gave it third place in July of 1995 when they compare to number one Porsche 911. HAHA.

Car and Driver is writer than anyone. I don't know how to drive and I never drive WERX, but I know lots about cars.

So you don't care about 0-60? Great, buy your luxury sedan. This has gotten quite silly now that people are saying "yeah the wrx is fast but I don't care about that - the audi is plenty fast enough". I agree for me that the audi would be fast, enough but for many people it isn't. This is why many would buy a corvette over a big slow mercedes. It's all personal preference. What the wrx brings is:

- lots of speed
- exceptional quality
- AWD

The fact still remains that no car is as fast and has AWD for the same price while maintaining subaru quality.

If the EVO is better people will say it's better. I agree that the AWD is very trendy, but trendy or not you can't sit there and tell me that it is a non-competitive car, because for the price it is very competitive in what you get.

Hell, I drive a mustang, and I like it. I talk to a lot of mustang owners, and most of them like it, too. Not all pony car drivers hate everything else, you know.

The EVO will ring in between 28000-29000 for the base model in the states... The WRX starts at 24000. Wait for the WRX-STi to come to the states, then compare that with the EVO, it's a fairer comparison(maybe). The EVO is going to be downtuned to meet emissions, and it might not pass US safety standards either. I can't wait for it to come over though because I would like to another car for my WRX to compete with in it's price range!

I lived in Buffalo for 6 years. Some of the road conditions are too bad even for a AWD vehicle. I would drive a beater in that kind of winter situation, no sense in cracking up a nice car during a snow storm.
