Obviously not the brightest bulb. And possibly in need of attention. The trouble with unstable people like this guy Is it takes very little to set them off, THEN later.... they regret it. Just ask any Trumpie insurrectionist how that works.

Just curious, but what is the brain defect that causes one to bring up Trump or Trumpies in threads that are not about those?

I consider myself a liberal but in the most realistic way possible. I wouldn't blink an eye if news came out this shit head's cell mates broke every bone of his and the guards didn't do much and ignored his pleas for help. Of course, that's not what our country is about blah blah blah.

You can't reform repeat offender crap.

IMO that would make you a "moderate" Democrat. (as am I)

(All too often "realistic" and "practical" are words liberals ignore)

I suppose. We're in the process of recalling some ultra liberal politicians where I live because of dumb stuff they've been pulling. I'm very socially liberal, but I believe certain elements of society must be kept in order. Fiscally... I'd rather not us send money to poor red states but they need handouts so meh.

Sadly EVERYTHING has a price-tag attached (a separate issue) and that sometimes seems to get forgotten. That's not the ONLY consideration either though.... it's important to look out for WORKING folks too not just those who need assistance.

Also I would be fully supportive of no longer sending federal money to states that trash reproductive rights and don't protect ALL voters.

Agreed. The politician in question is just a very carefree person who doesn't care about their policies. He's served in a few states and is known for being a reckless jackass.

Can you change the title to more accurately reflect the situation. Should be more like "Racist domestic terrorist now in custody for subway shooting."
What is inaccurate about the existing title? Please, do explain

My only issue is it's not clear whether we're taking subway the sandwich place or subway the transportation place :Colbert:

Fox News blames liberal social media for this guy and the shooting. Hey Fox, how about placing the blame where it truly belongs, a gun happy nation owned and operated by the gun nuts. Gee... ya think a gun might have has a little to do with this? Facebook or youtube can not shoot a bullet.
For someone who seems to complain about Fox News all the time, you sure watch a lot of it. Pretty much every single post of yours talks about what is going on on Fox News.

Thank goodness Giuliani showed up and cleaned up all the criminals, the goofy lax laws and enforcement and made NYC safe again. If you watch movies from the 1970s depicting NYC, its not a place you would want to be at night.

Too bad liberalism is back in vogue and criminals are running amok again nationwide.

too bad you don't know dick about anything. Why does your beloved Texas have a higher per-capita murder rate, numbnuts?

It's also far, far far more of a red state gun-humping problem than it is a blue state problem. Numbers don't lie, but you sure as fuck do, asshole.

St.Louis, Missouri is #1 for violent crime. Albuquerque, New Mexico is #1 for property crime. New York City is quite low in both of the lists for it's size. In fact, I do not remember the last time the was a murder reported on TV in my closest prescient area... in fact I don't even remember such a time.

Yep.... pretty much EVERY state that leads in gun-shot deaths was also a Confederate state.

That is NO coincidence.... these SAME people are openly supporting Russia and Putin right now.

The SAME RUSSIA that has literally thousands of nukes targeting American cities as I type this and has been our mortal enemy for the better part of 75 years.

Uncle Ronnie's Evil freaking Empire.

These people ARE TRAITORS to America just like the insurrectionists... maybe worse!

I'll tone it down a bit but this thread is about YET ANOTHER freaking lunatic that should NEVER EVER EVER have been allowed anywhere near a gun to not only get one but to use it on some hapless commuters.

But what we need is more freaking guns and fewer restrictions on sales so that ANY A$$HAT that feels like shooting the place up can EASILY get ahold of one to do it with !!1!1!

People are so stupid.

I can't comment on this but in a lot of tragic mass shootings that aren't down to terrorist-like behavior it's usually mental illness. This country kowtows to ignoring mental illness or playing it down or ignoring it and looking forward or whatever bullshit is said. There's not enough money going into mental health resources. We also seem to ignore that young people can suffer from mental health issues. This country did a massive disservice by ignoring the realities of a post Vietnam world and treating returning soldiers terribly and not helping them with their mental health problems. A combination of that and the scorn the public had for a war that really didn't need us being there.

Not sure how it's done in other countries, but I'm sure it's better than here.

Older folks too .... this guy was no youngster!

Otherwise completely agreed....mental health-care is about the most neglected aspect of healthcare in America.

I listen to CNBC most of the day at work since my pastime is the stock market, economy, etc.

I also listen to Fox Business, Fox News and MSNBC. MSNBC is news with a liberal spin. Their opinion commentators are all bat shit crazy however. That includes all the late night left wing "comedians".

Fox is more fair and balanced.

Give me an alternative that is not opinionated.

Every news source is opinionated to some degree however there's a line of "bullshit" that Fox News chooses to cross that MANY others do not.

You would be better served getting all your info from Al Jazeera.

Capante,

I used to rent cars out of that parking garage and was there for the bomb attack.

A lot of people never made it out on 9/11. Fortunately, I was working some place else.

Felix,

Rudy didn't do a damn thing. The reason why crime dropped in NYC was the same reason it dropped all across the U.S.

The Crack Epidemic ended.

Rudy just happened to be in office when it did. And after 9-11, Rudy demanded to be allowed to stay in office to oversee the rebuilding of the WTC site.

New Yorkers, who had grown tired of his ceaseless bullying, said NO!

The only things Rudy did that helped cut crime was hire a whole bunch more cops and get them to focus more on "quality of life" issues while out on local foot-patrol.

Not shockingly putting more officers on the beat cut WAY back on street crime.... the main people who "hated it" were the ones that could no longer run wild and do whatever the hell they wanted. (btw this included me sometimes... I STILL miss the old "dirty" Times Square!)

And I'm not sure where you live but (sadly) the "crack-epidemic" is still going strong in New Haven. That garbage is more popular then ever. Meth is showing up more frequently on the East Coast now too God help us.
