i hear the Dyson sucks, pardon the pun seriously!
the concept is good and i heard it really doesn't get clogged... but i also heard that it's actual sucking strength? pull? force? whatever it is called, it very weak compared to normal 12amp vaccums.
if you really want a no frills quality vacuum that will last for a decades with average home use look into industrial hotel brand vaccums!!!!
One of the most popular names is the Oreck XL vacuums though they are considered the low end of the industrials but work great and last long! cheapest model starts at i think $350? and they now have models with hepa bag filters etc. and come with decent warranties, the more expensive models come with longer warranties and year free servicing.
