Sucker for red. Anybody else desiring the red iphone?

So I just learned Apple is releasing a red IPhone 7 and it looks awesome.
I always wanted one of the red iPods and never got one.
I currently have an galaxy s7 edge and was trying to hold off on getting a new phone until the release of the Galaxy S8. Even though I am not a fan of the edge screen, the new bigger screen with the reduced bezel was very tempting.
But now I don't know if I will be able to hold off for the S8.
I also hate to buy the IPhone 7 now that is been so long since it was released.
Why did Apple have to release it now?
I do have tmobile jump but of course Apple is not releasing a base version and will have to shell out $149 for the 128 gb version.

Personally not interested. By the way, have you ever looked at something like Slickwraps? They have wraps (including red) for the S7 Edge.

This is a common strategy in the smartphone world: release a new color mid-cycle when you both have supply under control (so you don't have to worry about hampering overall production) and want to revitalize interest.

Remember, Samsung is holding its S8 event on the 29th, and will likely ship within a month of that date. You're not going to get a red model, but it may be worth getting the full scoop before deciding whether or not you want a red iPhone. It's not as if your S7 Edge is antiquated!

This is coming from someone who likes his current iPhone 7 -- it's a great phone, but I don't want you to rush in when you'll have a clearer view of things in a few days.

Not in the least. I do think it looks about 3rd best and if for some bizarre reason I felt like I needed display with a white border around it, then I'd go with red over the others, but jet black still looks the best to me (with the matte black 2nd).

But guess it will go well with white Beats.

Wow, no wonder people think Android has "caught up" in being good enough, the disparity between those first Snapdragon an Tegra chips to A10 would've been massive, so the recent ones definitely are a lot better. Not to mention, no wonder Apple was touting Retina compared to those not even 480p resolution phones. Even more weirdly Apple all along had large screen phones too! Not sure why all the hubbub about the headphone jack all of a sudden since they had removed it years ago.

If you want an iPhone, wait for the new iPhones. New hardware >>>>>>>>>>>> new color. You can always apply a skin to your phone to make it look whatever color you want.

The glass overlayed silver from Samsung is my personal favourite in a clear case. Goes well with jeans or a suit. From my S7 I'll skip the S8, but would go for the rumored Note 8. I couldn't go back to an iPhone at this point.
