So which one are you....

I can call you n00b then. n00b!

Owned.
n00b can't call me a n00b. I've been here just as long as him, so he would be calling himself a n00b. Instead I'm more a l00ser because I have more posts... n00bs!

But AdamK47 3DS joined a couple of hours before you did.

and n00b knows this how? Was this n00b there?

looks at scripts join date

doesn't look like it.... n00b!!

There's this wonderful thing called a "User Profile". It's really quite remarkable. It allows one to view all kinds of interesting and exciting information on a particular member such as the exact date and time they joined.

shock and amazement! A n00b has suprised me and shown the ability to do more than use up air and dirty his keyboard! I thus dub you no longer a full n00b but a semi n00b, or an 00b.

and I concede to AdamK47 3DS. His mother did keep me in bed a few extra hours that day :Q

Someone that's usually a new member, but it can also be a member who's been around a while but is still clueless on a lot of stuff.

You for example, would fall into the new member category

I love how the term "noob" has a nasty negative connotation associated with it. As if a noob is a disgusting, unworthy, unthinkable wretch that all but poisons the forum pool. But take a moment to consider the GOOD things about being a noob:

1) You make others look smart when they answer your dumb questions, especially if they make you feel like an idiot while doing so, thereby increasing not only their own morale, but the morale of experienced posters as a whole.

2) You learn from the answers that were given to your dumb questions, thereby increasing the chance that you may someday become one of the older, wiser, more experienced posters on this forum.

3) You are afforded the luxury of asking dumb questions, because let's face it, you're only a noob. A guy's been working at the same place for ten years and keeps making the same mistakes, and what's gonna happen? He's probably gonna get reprimanded if not terminated. A guy just started a new job and he makes a few mistakes, who cares? After all, he's just a noob.

4) You are like a sponge, an open book, a blank page, primed to absord all kinds of information. Eventually you will stop asking dumb questions, at which point you'll reach

5) You can start asking some good questions, thereby improving your standing on the status meter, not to mention the answers you will receive for your GOOD questions, which will only make you more knowledgeable and saturate the aforementioned sponge.

6) After you have all the rookie mistakes under your belt, maybe you can even start ANSWERING some questions, or at the very least add meaningful insight to the topic at hand.

7) Awh hell, who am I kidding.

Being a noob sucks.
