Ok, I'm torn! The Canon A80 and the S400 are the same price. Which one would you guys get?
Well, while I haven't used a Fuji myslef, from overall impressions I don't think I'd rate them higher than Olympus .Originally posted by: GTaudiophileEdit: Canon really does make the best cameras, but if you have to look at other brands, look at Nikon, Sony, Fuji, and Olympus, in that order. Don't bother with other brands.
I'd go with the A80 because:Originally posted by: JackBurton

To make your decision even harder, also consider the Canon S45 for $348!

The S series does have a rechargeable battery but it either has to be charged in the camera (meaning you can't be using it while it's plug'd in to the wall) or with a special charger (if you have a camera that uses AA or AAA then you can get rechargables for your remotes, your wireless mouse, etc, etc....).Originally posted by: timu
my choice came down to:
Canon powershot s400, a80 and s45/50.
in the battery issue i think s- series camera uses rechargable batteries; so i don't have to buy battery anymore. don't you think its helpful?
I still suggest the A80this will be my first digital camera......
so shich one should i get ??(though i am a beginner i would like to have more options in my camera!)
Sorry can't help you there.i will buy the camera from italy (i am going next week).
